Magenta outfits are definitely on my radar for spring. The hue is vibrant, bold and attention-grabbing in the best way! Traditionally, the houndstooth pattern is classic and elegant but when you add a dash of pink, it creates a youthful and feminine look. It’s the perfect mix of trendy and timeless.
The tweed outfit set is iconic in it’s own right. Who could forget Cher’s stylish Clueless tweed outfit or the elegant tweed outfit sets from Jackie O? This outfit formula has been reproduced in various TV shows (Scream Queens, I’m looking at you!) as well as worn by many on Instagram (hello, Zara tweed outfit!). The tweed jacket and dress are classic wardrobe staples for a very good reason.
When it comes to this outfit, I was very much inspired to mix the present with the past. I’ve always loved vintage style and I try to incorporate pieces when I get the chance, whether it’s true vintage or vintage inspired. For that reason, I decided to incorporate a pair of white beaded vintage gloves to give it a more glamorous feel.
The pink tweed jacket and sleeveless dress are separate pieces but I love how they look together! You can easily style the dress separately on it’s own or with a top underneath (my favorite style hack). It has plenty of feminine details including sparkling rhinestone buttons and a slightly flared ruffled hemline.
As for the pink tweed jacket – it actually goes with everything! The shape is a modern twist on a classic with an updated design. It’s adorned with shimmering buttons and bracelet sleeves to show off your jewels (or in this case, gloves). To really play off the coloring of this pink and white tweed jacket outfit, I added my vintage inspired handbag and a pair of magenta kitten heels. I topped off my look with a chic, classic beret in a lovely cream color. The result is a very Elle Woods inspired outfit!
What do you think of this pink tweed jacket outfit? How would you style these pieces?
