Behind the delightfully feminine and creatively curated fairytale world that is Lizzie in Lace is Elizabeth Hugen, a California-based fashion and lifestyle creator, photographer, and entrepreneur with a lifelong love of fashion, femininity, pretty things, and making everyday life feel a little more magical.
Lizzie is a dress-twirling, flower-loving, romantic-at-heart kind of girl who believes there is no such thing as being overdressed, that sequins can absolutely be worn during the day, and that you don’t need a special occasion to use the beautiful things you love. But Lizzie in Lace has grown into something much bigger than fashion.

Lizzie in Lace in an online destination that inspires others to embrace soft femininity, everyday elegance, an adventurous spirit, and a romanticized life through fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and travel posts. This website was started 2015 as a creative outlet to share my love of fashion, photography, and visual storytelling. What began as a personal fashion blog has since grown into an award-winning multi-platform creative brand and highly engaged community of hundreds of thousands spanning my website, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok, newsletter, and more.
While fashion will always be at the heart of Lizzie in Lace, my content has naturally evolved alongside me. Today, I share inspiration for personal style, beauty, home, travel, lifestyle, and the little things that make life feel beautiful – all with a feminine flair! While some things have evolved over the last decade, my love of beauty, sense of wondrous curiosity, commitment to authenticity, and distinctive view of the world through rose-colored glasses has remained.
At its core, Lizzie in Lace is about creating a life you love. I believe you don’t have to wait for “someday” to start living your dream life. You can wear the beautiful dress on an ordinary Tuesday. Make your home feel special just because you live there. Take yourself on an exciting adventure. Create daily rituals you look forward to. Use the pretty things you’ve been saving. Pursue your dreams while still enjoying the life you’re living right now.

A Little About Me
I’ve always been drawn to the creative world and have an extensive background and education in art, fashion design, marketing, photography, and entrepreneurship. These experiences have allowed me to approach content from both a creative and strategic perspective while maintaining the personal and authentic connection with my audience that has always been important to me. Together with my husband, Josh (my photographer and fellow blogger), we create visually stunning, original imagery to accompany inviting, thought-provoking copy that transports readers into the fashionable fairytale world of Lizzie in Lace.
Over the years, my work has been featured in online and print publications including InStyle magazine, Man Repeller, StyleCaster, BlogHer, and many others. I’ve also won prestigious awards for my personal style and content creation, had the opportunity to speak on industry panels, participate in elite podcasts and interviews about the digital space, create original photography for internationally recognized beauty brands, and develop creative projects and collections in collaboration with well-known brands and retailers.
I truly believe that some life circumstances lead us to where we’re meant to be. After more than a decade in the digital space, I’m incredibly grateful that the creative outlet I started in 2015 has grown into a career that allows me to combine so many of the things I love: fashion, photography, storytelling, creativity, art, entrepreneurship, and most of all… connecting with people.

Fun Facts:
- I’m an accomplished musician and retired private guitar instructor. I can play anything with strings but absolutely adore playing guitar and piano!
- I have a degree in art and although I have worked with every medium, I focus mainly on creating realistic portraits and fashion sketches.
- I’ve been skydiving 8 times.
- I love theme parks and will ride any rollercoaster.
- I enjoying traveling anywhere and everywhere!
- I’m a lifelong learner and have more hobbies than I can count.
