Headbands are easy and effortless, adding just the right amount of femininity to any outfit. Much like a dress, they look like you spent hours creating the perfect hairstyle when in reality it takes practically no time at all! And headbands come in a variety of styles from simple solid band to full-on embellished with jewels and pearls galore. There is a reason that Blair Waldorf loved them after all 😉 But I do know that some have sensitivities when it comes to headbands. I’ve found that the ones from Alexandre de Paris are as comfortable as they are beautiful!

Barrettes are so much fun to wear and are perhaps, the most versatile of summer hair accessories! They can be worn alone for a simple style or in conjunction with others for something unique and bold. I personally love wearing mine in a half up half down style or to accessorize a braid. When it comes to barrettes, I tend to gravitate toward designs with embellishments (especially pearls), bows, or florals but I do love a good plain barrette as well. Plus they are super easy to use and make such a difference when added to hairstyles, no matter how simple!

Of course, I couldn’t share a list of my favorite feminine summer hair accessories without including hats! Straw hats, especially, are the epitome of summer hair accessories. They pair well with pretty much anything and are a practical way to look stylish. The classic boater style has always been my favorite but this year, I’ve really been loving this gorgeous scalloped wide brim hat!
