Wearing a monochrome outfit (one “color” head to toe) is one of the easiest ways to look expensive on a budget. Monochrome outfits always come across so chic, especially when it comes to white. Here are three foolproof tips to styling a winter white outfit effortlessly –
Mix Different Textures
This is probably the most important tip when it comes to wearing a winter white outfit (or any other monochrome outfit). Mixing different textures keeps the outfit interesting and multi-dimensional. Look for fabrics like silk, tulle, eyelet, leather, etc and textures like embroidery, faux fur, embellishments, etc.
Use Varying Shades
Another easy way to add interest to a monochrome outfit is by pairing together varying shades. This works beautifully with other colors as well! For a winter white outfit, look for white, cream, ivory and even light beige and light pink. Using a variety of shades from the same color family adds dimension to an outfit and makes it look super chic.
This could fall under the “texture” category depending on the type of accessory. If your winter white outfit is looking a bit flat, add some jewelry! Pearl, crystal, diamante and chain jewelry works especially well to keep the overall monochrome aesthetic. You could also add an interesting pair of shoes or handbag in a similar color. Other accessories include hair accessories, scarves, tights, gloves, hats, etc.
