Outfit Details

WAYF Top (also seen in this post) | Tulle Skirt (my own design! – love this) | Mary Frances Handbag c/o | Everlane Heels c/o | Zara Headband (similar here and under $20!)

This top might look familiar because I included it in this post! It’s one of my absolute favorites and it looks amazing with everything!! And this skirt is really special to me because I actually made it myself! I created the pattern without knowing how to do so and sewed it up entirely by hand….that’s right. By hand. It’s completely customized with a beaded waist, multiple layers of tulle, a solid lining (so you can’t see through it) and it’s the perfect length! It’s probably one of my most prized possessions. I wanted this outfit to be full of different textures so I added this gorgeous beaded floral handbag to accessorize! Honestly, Mary Frances makes the most beautiful handbags I’ve ever seen in my life. This one not only has beautiful, unique beadwork but it also has that 1920s vintage glamour that I love so much! It would be the perfect bag for a wedding too 😉 In fact, I got asked multiple times if I was getting married haha! Nope, just dressed like a fairy lol!

If you want to see a throwback from 2015 (trust me you do lol!), check out my Original Tulle post to see my skirt in action!!

Yuna Yang

Yuna Yang never disappoints! I always enjoy her fun take on feminine favorites. I also love that she holds her shows in unique locations. The first season I went was in a museum/garden, last year was in a church and February was in a bookstore! This year, she held it at the Lotte Palace Hotel suite and instead of the typical runway show or presentation, she opted for a more intimate affair. The suite housed the collection on various racks so you could feel the fabrics and see the details up close…. ahh so much gorgeousness! There were also models walking about in some of the looks. The shoe and jewelry designer were present with their designs as well. Perhaps the coolest thing was that Yuna Yang herself was there to greet her guests. I had a great conversation with her and she is really such a sweetheart! Loved getting to know the designer behind all of these gorgeous designs that I see season after season. And yes, I’ll take one of each of these 😉

Palace Lotte Hotel – Impromptu Gossip Girl Tour

So I had met a blogger friend for breakfast and when I told her where I was going, she proceeded to remind that this was, in fact, the hotel from Gossip Girl. You guys, I flipped! Well, on my way out of the Yuna Yang suite, I decided to stop into the lobby to take a quick photo. One of the men that worked there asked if I’d like him to take a photo with me in it. I obliged and a quick photo turned into a full-on 15 minute photo shoot around the hotel haha!! He proceeded to take me to all of these different areas while he snapped away on my phone with the craziest angles. It made for some really interesting shots and a really fun tour! He was SUCH a nice guy and told me all about the association with Gossip Girl. Plus the hotel was INSANELY gorgeous! If you followed along on stories, then you saw a small bit of our tour (a couple of shots he took!). I’ll definitely be staying there next time I’m in NYC!

Pamella Roland

Oh my gosh, this collection. I have no words… it was the most beautiful thing. My jaw dropped after each look came down the runway and when I thought it couldn’t get any better, it did. Over and over and over! I’m not a very vocal person during fashion shows but I found myself exclaiming “WOW!” and “Oh my gosh!” the whole time lol! I don’t even think I blinked! It is really is what dreams are made up. From beautiful fabrics like tulle and lace to embellishments, embroidery and sparkle, it just could not have been more perfect. I would happily take every single piece and make a place for it in my wardrobe if it meant I could dress like a literal princess everyday.

Naeem Khan Backstage with Aveda

I was SO sad that I missed Tibi backstage but this one more than made up for it! Aveda created a hairstyle unlike anything I’ve ever seen before! It was a sleek updo featuring a texturized fishtail braid made possible by straightening and micro crimping various parts of the hair. The updo was inspired by the architecture of the Zaha Hadid building in which the runway show was held(see above) and I think they did such an amazing job! So creative and unique. I always love going backstage because it gives you a glimpse into what really goes on behind the scenes of a runway show. People often have NO idea just how much time and effort goes into a show. It’s crazy in the best way 🙂

Naeem Khan

This was probably my favorite location out of all the shows I went to. Not only is the building really cool and unique but it actually houses both indoor and outdoor spaces. Instead of a typical straight runway, this one started from the outside and went inside. I honestly has the best view in the house! I was seated outside on the second level with a great view of the building right behind the models as they came out. The designs were so beautiful and elegant. The runway was full of head-to-toe sparkle, floaty fabrics, colorful florals and the most gorgeous embroidery. Everything was just unreal – I’ve never had an experience quite like it before but it’s definitely one that I’ll remember. The perfect ending to an incredible week <3

I hope you enjoyed my NYFW S/S 2020 Recap: Day 6! Make sure you check out the days 1-5 to get a full glimpse into my NYFW adventure 🙂

Which outfit and collection is your favorite?
