Happy Friday, gorgeous friends!
I am so excited that it’s Friday! I am even more excited because I am officially on “break” for the next week and a half. I never ever get to concentrate only on the blog so I am really looking forward to getting some things done and to start brainstorming some ideas for the New Year! 😀 Yay!

In a sea of red and green holiday outfits, sometimes it’s nice to stand out. I will say that I do love traditional outfits as much as the next person, but I also love thinking outside of the box and using my creativity to create something a bit different. On Wednesday, I shared an “untraditional” holiday outfit and while today’s monochrome outfit leans on the more traditional side, it’s also very fashion forward. If you are a frequent visitor of my blog, then you know that I don’t wear a whole lot of red. Even though my closet is an explosion of color, I am seriously lacking in the red department. I’m quite picky about the hue and tend to go for deeper and richer reds such as burgundy and wine. Even though I enjoy a great bright red, I do think that deeper tones are more sophisticated looking and are better suited for dressier occasions.
With that being said, I was immediately drawn to the color of this dress and knew it would be perfect for the holidays! I just adore sweater dresses and I love that this has a flattering fit and flare shape with the cutest neck tie detail. Monochrome outfits are among my very favorite (as if it wasn’t obvious)! I think they are just so chic and put together so of course, I layered this adorable bow coat on top. These velvet heels are the perfect addition to any holiday look and I just love the neutral color of them. Even though I’m usually a jewelry fiend, I decided to go simple with this dainty sparkly watch that has the most adorable star shaped jewels. It might look familiar because I wore it to my event last week! 😉 For some added glam and a whimsical touch, I finished off my look with this incredible Cinderella purse. Can you believe the craftsmanship on this thing? It’s even more stunning in person (if you can believe that). I’m pretty sure this is the outfit that I’m going to wear for the big day 😉
Anyway, I absolutely cannot WAIT for Christmas! I am going to be so sad when it’s over! This weekend, we will be visiting a local holiday light exhibit (we go every year). There are literally thousands of lights and it’s the most beautiful thing ever. They have a train ride the I love to go on along with a musical light show and lots of hot chocolate. I’ll share it on my Instagram stories so be sure to follow along 🙂
What are your plans for the holiday weekend?
