New Years Eve Outfit & Blog Changes

New Years eve outfit

Hi darlings!

I hope you all had the most amazing Christmas! Today I am sharing this chic New Years Eve outfit idea along with some changes I recently made to blog to get you better acquainted to the new site 😉

Outfit Details

Dress c/o (on sale for less than $55! – other options here and here) | Coat c/o (last season – similar here, also love this) | Kate Spade Clutch (old – similar here and here) | Heels (also LOVE these and these)| Necklace

Just like anyone else, I am a HUGE fan of sparkle for the holidays, especially when it comes to New Year’s Eve (and pretty much every other day of the year haha!). I actually don’t own too much green, so this gorgeous dress was a welcome addition to my wardrobe. It’s a real cute and flattering fit and flare style with a velvet belt, cold shoulders and button details along the front and down the sleeves. I’m a fan of faux fur for the winter so layering this coat was a no brainer. I added sparkle with my accessories: a conservative necklace, ultra glitter clutch and sparkly pom pom heels. This chic outfit adds just a touch of glam without being over the top (although I wouldn’t mind it being over the top haha!) 😉

What is your must-have sparkly accessory?

Okay, so blog changes! 😀 If you’ve been an avid reader of my blog for a while then you have probably noticed a HUGE change with the website. I migrated it and had it designed earlier this month. I just finalized the finishing touches and even though, most of you have probably already browsed the new site, I thought I would better acquaint you all with some of the changes, just in case anything was confusing. Although one big change is the blog aesthetic itself,  many other changes have been made to make browsing a lot easier.

The Navigation Bar

This is probably the most significant change and where you can learn more about me, check out other daily link parties, and contact me regarding any questions, inquiries or post requests (I’ve created a form to keep me organized and more accessible). I’ve also created a drop down menu so you can shop my Instagram outfits or my phone case from the shop tab and browse my outfits via the fashion tab by season (winter, fall, spring, summer). Although I will still be heavily creating outfit posts, I will also be introducing a few new topics that I am super excited about including beauty posts such as make up, skincare and haircare as well as lifestyle posts including travel and blogging tips/entrepreneurship. Up until now, I have been almost strictly fashion so I am very excited to change things up. You can find all of these topics here. On mobile, this is the three horizontal bars in the upper right hand corner and socials are on the left.

The Side Bar

To the right of my posts, you can: find and follow all of my social media channels, search for specific topics, subscribe to have my posts sent directly to your email, dig through my archives for specific posts, browse my favorite shops, check out the items I am currently coveting, access my most popular recent posts, and see my recent Instagram and Pinterest posts (click the photo to follow along — you can also follow from the clickable photos in the footer). On mobile, the sidebar items are below the blog posts so keep scrolling if you need to find something 😉

The Blog Post

Before you click through to view the post, you can share via the social media icons or leave a comment. You can pin any image in the blog post to your Pinterest boards.  At the bottom of each post, you can follow any of my social media channels, share the post to your socials, read similar previous posts, and search for specific posts by clicking the keywords in the tags above the comments.

Final Thoughts

The new design of this blog was created with all of you in mind. I took the constructive criticism from previous surveys to create a site that is easy to navigate and much more accessible with clickable  and organized content. I can’t wait to share all of the amazing things I have in store for you all for 2018! But you’ll have to wait until next week to hear more 😉
