How to Look Feminine and Edgy – 6 Easy Outfit Ideas

Elizabeth Hugen from Lizzie of Lace shares tips on how to look feminine and edgy

When you think of my style, edgy is probably the last word that comes to mind. On a typical day, my outfits are full of florals, tulle and lots of pink! However, I’m also a closet rocker, which might surprise you! I’ve been playing guitar (electric & acoustic) for 19 years. I was also once in a garage band and went through a phase where I dressed like a punk rocker (if you can believe that!). And when I listen to music, chances are highly likely that it’s some sort of rock (Metallica is my all-time favorite band!). Therefore it’s only natural that I would incorporate a bit of edginess into my outfits every now and then. My edge usually comes out in the form of embellishments, playing with different textures and interesting details. I also love layers and there’s nothing more edgy than a leather jacket!

Read on to see how you can look feminine and edgy at the same time!

DEA  Skirt c/o | Wayf Top | Castaner Espadrilles | Charlie Stone Handbag | BaubleBar Headband

Bring out all the boho vibes with a suede mini skirt and loose top. The lace detail along the neckline lends a feminine touch that works perfectly with the suede.

DEA  Jacket c/o | Cece Top (similar) | Mott and Bow Jeans c/o | Asos Headband (similar)

This leather jacket mimics a classy structured blazer and adds both edge and sophistication to a dark pair of jeans and lace top. The bow and lace add a more feminine vibe overall but the jacket itself is quite feminine with the sleek shape.

This oversized coat with leather detailing is quite masculine on it’s own but it mixes beautifully with a tulle skirt and pearl heels. The mixed textures and neutral color palette make the entire outfit look very high end.

DEA Skirt c/o | DEA Tee c/o | Charlotte London Blazer | Kate Spade Handbag (similar) | Asos Headband

A leather mini skirt is a classic and looks amazing with anything including a casual tee. Sweeten it up with a chic tweed blazer and pearl details for the perfect mix of feminine and edgy.

The ultimate feminine and edgy combo (in my opinion) is a floral dress and leather jacket. I just love the ultra feminine ruffles and dainty floral print mixed with the toughness of a classic leather jacket.

Surprisingly, I think mine is the black one hehe!
