There’s just something about wearing a fun color in a sea of black during the cooler months. I feel like it makes you stand out in the best way 🙂 So when I saw this lilac coat a few months ago, I knew I needed it for my collection. Not only is the color beautiful but I just adore the jeweled buttons and faux fur collar – it’s kind of like a Barbie coat haha! Also you can’t really see the inside but it’s lined with the most gorgeous floral print so of course, I couldn’t pass it up the moment I saw it go on sale. And would you believe my luck when I found a dress that perfectly matched!
Gingham is usually only reserved for late spring and summer but as you know, I kind of push the envelope a little when it comes to styling summer dresses in the fall and winter. Taking a sleeveless dress and making it winter appropriate (by California standards) is super easy and can result in a sophisticated and stylish outfit combo. I was initially drawn to this dress because of the gorgeous color but I also really love the retro feel. I kept with the purple and white theme by adding a pair of white heels, a pearl headband and a pearl handbag to finish the look. I also added the most gorgeous vintage-inspired morganite ring to top it off!
