Happy first day of spring!!! This is the day I’ve been waiting for since last summer haha. The birds are chirping, the sun is shining, the flowers are blooming… all of my favorite things wrapped up into one.

You guys…it has been a week. Let me tell you! Instead of being outside drinking tea on my balcony or picnicking at the park or meandering through some open field picking flowers, I’ve been stuck inside napping. I haven’t been feeling particularly well lately (migraines, vertigo, crazy hormones, etc!) and my other ongoing issues escalated earlier this week. I’m the type of person that never ever goes to the doctor as I just don’t really need to but I went this morning because my symptoms suddenly became increasingly more serious. My visit ended with four blood tests and an ultrasound appointment. You might remember that I previously had problems with hormonal birth control so I thought that could be the culprit but when the symptoms persisted, I thought that maybe I was just burnt out from working a million hours or that I had become intolerant to certain foods. Now we are bringing anemia, thyroid and reproductive problems into the equation….and it’s just a lot. The crazy thing is that my symptoms can be so many different things (maybe even a mix) so it’s hard to know exactly what is happening. I’m a relatively healthy person otherwise so this situation has been completely frustrating for me. I just want to feel better and be able to carry on like a normal person again. I’m crossing my fingers that I can finally find the cause to all of this once and for all and make a plan of action to take care of it moving forward. Please send positive thoughts my way! <3
And I really hate to vent on the blog because I prefer to spread positivity and don’t want it to feel like a pity party but I guess we all have tough days and just need each other’s support and encouragement sometimes 🙂 Anyway, onto my outfit! Long, flowy dresses are always a springtime staple in my closet! I, especially have a thing for long sleeve dresses. This floral print almost reminds me of a toile print, which I have always been particularly fond of. I love that you can wear it belted for a more feminine style or unbelted to create a bohemian look. I accessorized with a few of my favorite springtime accessories including this pretty perl embellished bag and this adorable headband. 🙂
How do you make yourself feel better after a tough day?
