Spring officially starts this week – AHHHH! I just love it so much. And to be honest, spring doesn’t last long where I live (it will be 100 degrees before we know it!) so I’m taking full advantage. Read on for details on this gorgeous feminine easter dress and a little bit about what life has been like lately.
Outfit Details
Eliza J Dress c/o (another option here) | Handbag | Lilac Shoes (old – obsessed with these!) | Alexandre de Paris Barrette c/o | Crislu Necklace c/o | Rocksbox Bracelet | Rocksbox Ring
For Easter, I always tend to go for something floral or pastel as I’m sure many others do as well. Pastels are among my favorite because they’re light, feminine and remind me of Easter eggs 😉 This lilac dress is such a pretty option if you want something more structured. Plus, I love the pleated fit and flare skirt and fun sleeve details! I think basket bags are the perfect companion for a feminine Easter dress, but I really do love this pearl one too and think it works better with a more structured shape.
As for life lately, it’s been….crazy! I know my posting schedule has been erratic lately so my apologies. It’s so hard to balance everything sometimes. I’ve been majorly exhausted so I’ve made some changes to my sleep schedule and I’m still trying to get used to this whole going to bed early thing haha! Anyway, I shared my spring bucket list with you all last week and I’ve already gotten started on it!
This past weekend, I started my mini flower wall, began my spring cleaning spree and finished up my balcony garden! I’ve always considered myself more of a floral person than a cacti person…however, with my history of dying flowers in 110+ degrees, I decided to opt for something different this time. I chose a variety of succulents, cacti, Spanish lavender and a couple of warm weather flowers. I am SO happy with the results and very excited to finally have an outdoor space I can retreat to, especially since I mainly work from home. Can’t wait to show you guys 🙂
Also, we booked our first cruise!! YAY! It’s only for three nights but I’m super excited to get awayyyy. Guess I really have to get in shape now lol. Will share more about this in my upcoming monthly recap!
In other news, my hubby just scheduled his first maternity shoot! He doesn’t do photography professionally but it’s definitely something he is considering for the future so we are trying to find as many opportunities for practice as possible. We just took my brother’s formal photos recently too! For this post, we tried to experiment with these photos as bit by taking them at sunrise (I can’t believe I was ready that early lol) and I just have to say that editing is toughhh for sunrise/sunset shoots. I don’t know how people do it so flawlessly.
Lastly, I’m starting a big diet change today. Last week, I polled a lot of you and asked for advice on Instagram about eliminating dairy and I got SO many thoughtful, helpful responses! I have just been having terrible, terrible issues with bloating, acne and digestion in general for quite a while and I’ve run out of options. I’ve tried so many different things and hate to think that dairy could be causing all of my issues because I LOVE cheese and ranch dressing soooo much, but it’s getting out of control at this point (I think there might be a hormonal imbalance too – ugh!). This has been going on for over a year now and I still haven’t found the culprit. Definitely a frustrating process for sure so cross your fingers that this works for me! <3
What did you do this past weekend?
