Is Teddy Blake a good brand?
If you are unfamiliar with Teddy Blake, I urge you to check out my initial Teddy Blake review post. In short, they are a luxury handbag brand that creates beautiful designs accessible for those that want high-quality on a budget. Two of my favorite designs are the Ava and Kim. The Ava is my ultimate favorite for many reasons but the Kim is icon in it’s own right. The bags are quite similar in style though and many of you have asked which one you should get.
Teddy Blake Ava vs Kim
To keep things fair, I opted for the same color and size in both styles. For reference, I got the Ava Croco 9″ in Nude Pink and Kim Croco 9′ in Nude Pink. Let’s start with the similarities!
How are the Teddy Blake Kim and Ava similar?
Upon first glance, both of these Teddy Blake purses look similar in terms of size, shape and material. They are both made in Italy with croco embossed leather, matching trim and gold detailing (including the feet and hardware). Both bags include a top handle with a crossbody strap and dust bag. They are also available in tons of colors, sizes and leather options (and come with discreet branding as well). Now for the differences – let’s start with the Teddy Blake Ava bag.

Ava Croc 9″ Nude Pink Review
The first visual difference is the color of the leather. The Nude Pink of the Teddy Blake Ava handbag is definitely darker than the Kim. It has more of a pink hue to it! The finish is also different as it’s matte with a slight sheen as opposed to a glossy finish on the Kim. The handle is fixed and the front flap is larger with a simple closure. The suede interior houses two pockets and plenty of space for key essentials. There is one additional zippered pocket on the back for extra storage.
Another thing that made the Ava standout is the tag and lock accessory! My older Ava bags also have a key. I think it’s soooo cute! Right now, bag charms are trending so this is a great way to incorporate it in a classic and elegant way. This bag, in general, is youthful yet sophisticated and polished. It’s a great everyday bag that styles well with everything from dresses and skirt outfits to jeans and work suits.
One thing I will say is that although I do love the Croco embossing, my very favorite for the Ava is the pebbled leather. I have it in light pink, light blue, lilac, etc! It honestly looks amazing in every color way and the leather is so smooth and luxurious! Now let’s move on to the Teddy Blake Kim handbag.

Kim Croco 9′ Nude Pink Review
Just like the Ava, the first visual difference of the Teddy Blake Kim handbag is the color. Although the colors are technically the same name – “Nude Pink” – the Kim is much lighter! It’s definitely more of a blush nude without the pink tone of the Ava. The finish on the embossed leather also has more of a glossy look. The handle is secured by gold hardware and the flap is smaller with a more unique and customizable closure. The interior is microfiber with one pocket and although it’s roomy, it has slightly less room width-wise than the Ava.
In comparison to the Ava, the Kim is more mature and streamlined. It’s elegant and refined with a timeless appearance that will look stylish for years to come. In my opinion, the Kim also has a beautiful old money aesthetic look! You can definitely dress it down with jeans and more casual outfits but the bag itself looks like the Ava’s dressier sister. It would be perfect paired with trousers for work or a stunning dress with a simple silhouette. Like the Ava, it comes in so many gorgeous colors!
Which Teddy Blake handbag should I choose?
Choosing the perfect handbag is such a personal choice but I hope this can make it a bit easier! So which Teddy Blake purse should you choose? First things first – are you looking for something that is a bit more youthful and versatile? Go with the Ava! Looking for something that is more mature and dressy? Go with the Kim!
