Viqure Laser Reviews: Is it Legit?

Feminine fashion blogger Elizabeth Hugen of Lizzie in Lace shares her honest Viqure Laser Reviews

I love a good beauty tool and over the course of nine years, I’ve tried many! I feel like it takes my at-home spa days to the next level 😉 With that being said, you might be surprised to know that I’ve never tried anything for hair removal (I’ve been too scared lol!). Well, there’s a first for everything so here we are. I haven’t seen many reviews on this product so I’m excited to share! In this post, I’ll be sharing a Viqure laser review detailing my honest thoughts and experience. Is it worth the price? Is it safe to use? Read on to find out!

Viqure Laser Reviews: Is it Legit?

My Previous Hair Removal Experience

As I mentioned, I have never tried using any type of hair removal device. This is in part due to fear lol! However, over the years, that fear has turned into intrigue as I’ve seen more and more at-home hair removal devices surface. I was recently introduced to the Viqure EpiPro Laser and at first, I wasn’t sure what to think. Although I have heard of IPL devices, I have no prior experience with these so I have nothing to compare the laser to. And I’ve certainly never used a laser before (doesn’t that sound intimidating?). Truthfully, it’s not as scary as it sounds and it’s easier to use than you think!

Prior to trying this out, I was a die hard razor girl. I’ve ONLY shaved my body hair. I’ve never used any special device, waxed or tried any other method of hair removal. Talk about going from 0 to 60 haha! But really, shaving with a razor has become redundant and a bit time consuming so I’m all for trying other methods, especially with the promise of permanent hair removal.

Disclaimer: I do also want to note that removing unwanted hair is a personal choice. I discussed this in my post, How to Glow Up. There are certain things that make each of us feel more confident and I think it’s important for everyone to embrace their beauty in a way that is authentic to them. I personally choose to remove my body hair but I also support those that prefer to keep it. There is no wrong way to be beautiful <3

What is the Viqure laser?

The Viqure EpiPro 808nm Diode Laser Hair Removal Machine is a 2-in-1 machine that can be used for hair removal or skin rejuvenation! The advanced diode laser technology sets this device apart as this is commonly used in salon equipment and is more effective than other alternatives. The 808nm wavelength diode laser technology is known as the gold standard when it comes to permanent hair removal.

It’s safe and effective and suitable for all body parts and skin tones. You can use it on the face, arms, chest, armpits, back, bikini area and legs (but honestly you can use it on any area that has hair). It’s also incredibly versatile combining hair removal and skin rejuvenation into one device. The hair removal function permanently removes hair from all body parts without pain while the skin rejuvenation feature improves skin, treats acne and tightens skin.

This device delivers 3x more energy than any other IPL or home-use hair removal device. It’s durable, long-lasting and  high quality. It can also be used at home or in a more professional setting like a salon!

How does the Viqure Diode Laser work?

In short, melanin in the hair follicle absorbs the heat of the laser resulting in hair follicle damage, therefore, inhibiting future hair growth.

How to use the Viqure EpiPro laser?

How to Use:

  1. Prep the area by cleaning with a mild cleanser and shaving. Afterwards, apply cold gel to the treatment area.
  2. After starting the device, enter the treatment parameter settings on the interface (choose skin type and body part – it presets it for you but you can customize).
  3. Put on the included safety goggles.
  4. Press the ready button to start (treatment can be adjusted during the process, if needed).
  5. Glide over the treatment area (don’t keep the treatment head on the same treatment side for too long).
  6. Turn off the power switch, remove gel and apply a cold compress.
  7. Clean the treatment head with a warm towel and disinfect.

Additional Notes:

  • The heat from the laser stays in your skin for a day. Don’t touch hot water, go to the gym or sauna for the first 24 hours.
  • Don’t forget to use SPF!
  • Avoid perfumes and deodorants for 24-48 hours.
  • Don’t wax or pluck hair after treatment.
  • Don’t use scrubs, glycolic acid or retinol creams for 2 days after treatment (no chemical peels for 2 weeks).
  • Don’t eat spicy food, seafood or anything pungent. Eat less photosensitive vegetables (white radish, celery, coriander, spinach, etc).

How long does it take to work?

For hair removal, use the device every 28 days. It typically takes 3-6 treatments for permanent removal. For skin rejuvenation, use it every 21 days.

Honest Viqure Laser Review

My hair type is I on the Fitzpatrick scale. I have very fair skin that burns easily and very light natural hair. At first I wasn’t sure if this would work on me because my hair is so light (not much melanin). My impressions of the device itself was that it looks super professional and high quality! I love the interactive design and recommendations. The handle also feels really comfortable in the hand. I also love that they included the safety goggles and very detailed instructions! The only thing I wish that was included is the gel. However, you can get this separately at an affordable price.

My First Experience with the Viqure Laser

I’m not going to lie. I was a bit scared to use it at first, especially since I’ve never used anything like it. It looks so intimidating! However, I found the device easy to use and customize. Noise-wise, it sounds like a hairdryer, which surprised me lol! They also have some pretty helpful video tutorials but truthfully, it was very simple to figure out.

To start, you’ll definitely want to have a gel on hand – I recommend the Viqure cooling gel (if it’s unavailable, check out this alternative). My skin is fairly sensitive so I tested a small part on my upper thigh to see how it would react. After I was in the clear, I decided to try it out on both of my legs. The process was streamlined, simple and actually very relaxing! It took about 15-20 minutes for both legs and I used the lowest setting possible. I was expecting some type of sensation when gliding the device but I actually didn’t feel anything at all! I also did try out the skin rejuvenation setting as well! I’m excited to see my results 🙂

Since this device only needs to be used every 28 days, I don’t have my full results yet. I will be updating this blog post throughout the process so be sure to bookmark and check back!

Overall Thoughts: Honest Viqure Laser Review

Overall, I really like the Viqure Laser so far! It’s a very sturdy machine and I enjoyed using it. I’m excited to have this as part of my beauty routine! I also love that there are two settings both laser hair removal and skin rejuvenation. I absolutely adore skincare devices so I’m especially excited about the skin rejuvenation setting. I also love that it comes with pretty much everything you need! I can see how this would be beneficial for both at home use and salon use. So far, I’m really enjoying it!
