What caused my hair loss?
Just over five years ago, I had… what I can only describe as a… hair nightmare. I had gotten permanent bonded hair extensions for the very first time. While I loved how they looked, I was not prepared for the amount of damage that they would do to my natural hair.
After removal, I was left with “baby hair.” Half of my hair had been broken off at the extension bond resulting in a vast reduction of natural hair. I cried as I wrapped my rubber band around a thin bun seven times. Even the texture of my normally soft hair was now dry and brittle. It felt more like straw rather than the lusciously silky texture it once had. There’s so many reasons as to why I believe that the extensions damaged my hair but I won’t get into that here. Shortly after the extension removal, I started to have unrelated health issues that seemingly came out of nowhere. After a long string of tests, I was diagnosed with multiple food allergies. Over the next 6-8 months, I had to endure many food elimination diets. For the next few years after this, I had to learn to balance my nutrition with my food allergies, which was difficult because I had to eliminate many nutritious foods and in some cases, complete food groups.
I believe that this is what caused my hair loss. With the extension mishap, I had a lot of damage and breakage but now I was having trouble getting the nutrients that my body needed for healthy hair growth. I was losing full follicles from my scalp and while things are much better now with my health, it’s been a journey of trial and error and learning what works best for me and my body. I experienced no issues with the supplement! I took it in the morning with breakfast and in the evening with dinner each day. It was very easy to take, although it did take me a few days to get used to the schedule. I kept it with all of my other vitamins and set a reminder on my phone to make things easier. The hair growth serum is lightweight and did not make my hair feel oily in the slightest. The consistency is perfection! I used it each evening after brushing my scalp with the bamboo hair brush (more like a massage, to be honest lol!). It was really easy to use and I found that a little went a long way. I concentrated the serum more on the areas where I was experiencing the most hair loss like the temple area and the right side of my head. For some reason, I have more hair on one side than the other haha!
Fully Vital Derma Roller
I will admit that I was scared to use the Fully Vital Derma Roller at first! I’ve used similar rollers for my skin before but never for hair growth. This is a very unique step that I haven’t seen with other hair growth systems! Given how much it helps the facial skin with absorbing skin care products, I can see the benefits of also using it for your scalp.
This derma roller is used once a week on thinning areas. I concentrated more so on the right side of my head and temple area. My advice is to gently glide it! It doesn’t hurt but it does have a pricking sensation that takes some getting used to.
Fully Vital Review
I got the Fully Vital three month bundle and used all of these products for about six weeks. I found that the entire kit was super easy to use and took minimal effort on my part! The hair serum, brushing and derma rolling became a natural part of my evening self care routine – skincare, haircare, relax!
After six weeks of consistent use, I first noticed that my hair was longer. My hair used to grow really quickly until it was damaged by the extensions. After the removal, the growth was much slower. These products seemed to speed it up as I noticed one and a half to two inches of growth overall! You can see this in the photo below.
I also noticed that my hair feels softer, looks shinier and feels stronger. It just seems to look healthier as a whole! I can see that the sparse areas around my temples are beginning to fill in (pictured below), which is exciting! The most amazing thing, however, is that I saw much less of my hair falling out. Previously, my hair was falling out at the follicle and there was always a lot in my hair brush after brushing. Now, there is hardly anything! And it seems like more of my hair is actually staying on my scalp rather than falling out.

One thing I love about my job is that I get to be a human guinea pig of sorts. I absolutely LOVE beauty products and I love trying them out to see if they really live up to the hype. So the question is… Does Fully Vital work? In my honest experience, YES! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for growth products.

In conclusion, I love all of these products and how they work effortlessly together! I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect (as with any new brand that I try) but I’m truly impressed. I feel like I have had incredible results so far and I plan to continue using these for another couple of months. My hair looks and feels so much stronger, softer and shinier. I’m honestly over the moon with my results!
I love the variety of products included as well. They really thought of everything including items that I wouldn’t have thought to work!
