Black Leather Blazer Outfit: FJackets Review

Lizzie in Leather is back in town haha! And this time, I’m wearing BLACK *gasp* – can you believe it? Even as a self-proclaimed girly girl with a closet full of princess dresses, there’s a piece of me that loves a hint of edginess. I did play lead guitar in a rock band, after all! 😉 Mixing elements of femininity and masculinity into an outfit gives it balance and a unique perspective. Plus the texture of a leather jacket really makes a statement in a cool way.

FJackets is a fashion brand that specializes in leather jackets of all styles. You’ll find plenty of styles for both men and women including leather moto jackets, hooded jackets, bomber jacket, coats, blazers and more. What makes FJackets stand out from similar brands is the variety of styles, color choices and affordability in relation to the quality. Their sizing is also very inclusive with sizes ranging from XS to 3X in women’s styles. If real leather isn’t your thing, they also have vegan leather options as well!

Is FJackets legit?

Yes, FJackets is a legitimate company! This is my first experience with the brand but so far, it’s been exceptional! For any new brand, I always look up reviews beforehand and I’m happy to say that I found a lot of positive ones.

FJackets Sizing: Is FJackets true to size?

Does FJackets run true to size? In my experience, yes! They have a size chart available on the website but I found that my normal size was a great fit, even when layering a top underneath. Like most people, I’m always wary of sizing when purchasing from new brands. However, I would recommend checking your measurements against their size chart and going from there. If in doubt, just get your normal size.

Is FJackets Good Quality?

When it comes to leather jackets, FJackets is quite affordable! I found the quality to be pretty good, especially in relation to the price. The blazer I got is actually quite a bit thicker than I thought it would be! It has a good weight to it and I feel like you could use it as a regular jacket as well. The leather is really soft and the buttons are high quality. The only thing I didn’t like was the slight smell when it arrived. It had to air for a few days lol! Also keep in mind the price. This is a good affordable leather jacket but it doesn’t compare to higher priced versions.

I received the jacket within a couple of days (I’m located in the US). You can expect your jacket to arrive in 2-6 days (or 2-4 days if you belong to Prime Delivery). It was packaged very well and had a nice presentation.

When it comes to leather, I actually tend to go for lighter colors like cream and pink! However, I was immediately drawn to this black leather blazer. Online, it looked high-end, stylish and elegant. Upon receiving it in person, I’m happy to report that it looked just like the photos (maybe better even!). What I didn’t expect is the edginess that it had. Personally, I think that black leather anything automatically comes with some edginess but this was different. Not only was the blazer stylish and elegant but it also looked very powerful and intimidating in a good way!

The cut is very flattering and creates a lovely feminine fit. It’s also accessorized with metal buttons down the front and on both sleeves. The blazer itself is a nice departure from classic leather jacket styles like the moto and bomber. It’s very unique and I think it could work well with a variety of personal styles and outfits. While most leather jackets lend a casual feel and dress down an outfit, I think that this Women’s Leather Blazer is very dressy and a bit more formal, which I love!

Leather Blazer Outfit Ideas

For this outfit, I wanted to style the black leather with more romantic fabrics like chiffon and tulle to really play up the feminine-masculine mix. I started with a classic color palette of ivory and black then added a pop of mauve with my handbag and brooch. It’s unexpected yet it works! For details, I included a pearl headband and black suede shoes with crystal bows for a bit of sparkle. The overall look is quite dressy giving off the impression of a modern tuxedo.

Although my personal style lean more on the dressy side, this black leather jacket can easily be styled with a pair of jeans and a tee for an everyday look. For work, pair it with a silk blouse and high waisted trousers. Looking for a cutesy feminine option? Try it with button up, mini skirt and tall sheer socks. The options are endless!
