The holidays have come and gone but New Year’s Eve is still on the horizon! I took a cue from my favorite silver screen sirens to create two holiday makeup looks with the ever glamorous and luxurious Charlotte Tilbury collection that will have you looking fabulous as ever whether you spend the evening at home or elsewhere <3

Two Pretty Holiday Makeup Looks
Let’s start with a glam holiday makeup look that would be perfect for the red carpet!
Before applying any makeup, I started off my look with this incredible “Magic Cream.” It makes your skin smooth and moisturized, creating the perfect canvas for your makeup.
Once the moisturizer was set, I applied this primer for a luminous effect. You can actually apply it under, over or instead of foundation but I prefer to apply it under to smooth my skin even more 😉
After I prepped my skin with foundation, I applied these gorgeous hues from this eyeshadow palette. I know that some people prefer to put on their foundation after applying eye makeup, but I’ve just always done it this way and it’s a hard habit to break haha. I used the lighter shade (top left) to prep my entire lid up to the brow and then used the burgundy shade (top right) in my crease. I darkened my crease by layering the darkest shade ( bottom right) and added a hint of sparkle with the last shade (bottom left). One of these days, I’ll make a video so you can see it in action 🙂
After applying eyeshadow, I added a wing across the top of each eye with this liquid eyeliner. I get a TON of compliments on my eyeliner and winged eyeliner is something I always wear (I never wear eyeliner on the bottom though). I have a very distinct way of doing it so I’ll save this for another video as well.
Next, comes the mascara! I always get asked if I have false eyelashes but no… it’s just my mascara haha! I usually apply 2-4 coats depending on what type of look I’m doing – for this one, I applied three coats, allowing each to dry before reapplying. I only put one light coat on my bottom lashes.
After completing my eye makeup, I moved on to “sculpting” my face and used the contour and highlighter duo for this step. I used the contour just under my cheek bones and on the sides of each nose.
After contouring, I used this gorgeous blush for a pretty, rosy glow! I should also note that I always use a vibrating makeup brush to seamlessly blend my contour and blush (separately). After applying my contour and blush, I then swept the highlighter over my cheekbones and the bridge of my nose for a hint of sheen.
Before applying lipstick, I lined my lips with a nude lip pencil. I find that lining my lips tends to make my lipstick stay on better and look more true to the color.
For my lipstick, I decided to go for a hue that would work perfect for the red carpet…or New Years..or Christmas. I call this one my “Marilyn” red as it’s the perfect classic Hollywood red lip color 😉
Red’s not your thing? No worries! I love this peachy nude lipstick for a more natural and understated yet elegant look. Very Audrey Hepburn 😉 I started by filling in my lips with a nude lip pencil and applied a creamy, kissable nude lipstick on top.
