Happy Friday, pretties!
I hope you all had an incredible week! Mine was SUPER busy, but I’m looking forward to getting some non-work related things done today 🙂 This week has been SO cold! Usually I can get away with bare skin but lately, I’ve been bundled up in my coziest sweaters (including this adorable sweater dress). As I type this, I’m wearing fleece-lined joggers, an embellished sweatshirt that I got from Forever21 like 10 years ago (no joke!), my fuzzy slippers, a cozy bathrobe and my faux fur blanket. It’s quite a sight to see haha! I don”t know how you ladies do it in those arctic temperatures anddd look fashionable at the same time!
Outfit Details
Dress c/o (available in tan – also love this, this and this) | J.Crew Coat (sold out – available in other colors, similar style here)| Boots c/o (currently on sale for under $50! – also available in black) | Handbag (on major sale and VERY limited stock!) | Ring (comes as a set) | Lip Color (“squad goals”) c/o
Anyway, I’m one of those people that gets cold ALL THE TIME. I mean, I live in California – land of sunshine and warmth. I’m no stranger to 115 degree weather but the second it drops under 50 degrees, I’m start piling on my warmest items haha! The grocery store is literally my least favorite place because its always freezinggg. When the temps drop, I put away my frilly dresses and opt for a cozy sweater and *gasp* jeans. But as you know, jeans have never been my favorite (but I’m coming around to the idea of wearing them more haha). The fit is always off and they feel so constricting when compared to a nice breezy dress. This is exactly why I love a good sweater dress. It’s the best of both worlds! I normally opt for a sweater dress that nips in at the waist and flares out at the bottom, but I actually really love the looser fit on this one. It’s chunky and thick, yet flowy and loose plus the texture is really nice and I loveeee how soft it is. And the ruffled bottom is a dream! It looks super cute when it’s belted too and would look great styled with tights or over-the-knee boots.
I wore this last weekend when it was a bit warmer so I styled it with these adorable bow boots . I’m obsessed with them! *heart eyes* And I actually snagged this coat during Black Friday. I saw the color and knew it was fate. The color is actually really interesting because it’s made up of different specks of colors from the rainbow! Definitely one of my favorites (my husband will attest to this as it’s usually the first coat I grab when we go somewhere lol!).
Anyway, I have some really fun stuff coming up in the next couple of weeks! As promised, I am rolling out a few new series little by little. I introduced the Girl Boss series last week and you guys seemed to really love it – YAY! I have some great gals lined up that I know you will enjoy. I’m also planning some more “real” posts (per your request) and will introduce those along with a few other series covering fashion, beauty and blogging within the next few weeks or so 🙂 Last but not least, my three year blogging anniversary is coming up in two weeks! I am planning some AMAZING Instagram giveaways so make sure you’re following along 🙂 I’ll also be doing my first Instagram live Q+A (so nervous!) so if you have any questions about anything at all, I’d love for you to leave them in a comment, DM me or email me.
Is there a topic you’d like me to cover in a future post/series? Let me know!
xo

Last week’s most clicked on look was…
I love the idea of putting a brooch in the middle of a bow! And this color combo is to die for!
