Happy Monday, lovelies!
I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. Mine was crazy busy but I did have a little bit of down time to relax – yay! 😉 Anyway, I recently found an interesting website called Shoptiques so I wanted to share my first experience with you. Read on for my honest Shoptiques review!
If you are a newbie to Shoptiques like I am, then you may not know what it is. Shoptiques is an online shopping destination that brings together thousands of boutiques to shop from. A lot of these boutiques don’t have websites of their own and might not have had an online presence otherwise. A good example would be if you took a trip somewhere and found an adorable local boutique on your shopping excursion. The only way that you would likely be able to shop at that boutique is if you did so in person. So what happens when you go back home? What if you fell in love with the clothing the boutique had to offer? This is where Shoptiques comes in. You can browse boutiques from all over the world on one website. You can even look up destinations so if you know you will be traveling somewhere you can easily find a cute place to shop. You no longer have to shop local boutiques in person but instead you can browse your favorites with the touch of a button. It’s such a genius idea!
I was super intrigued and immediately started looking through various boutiques. With over 5,000 uniques stores from all over the world, there really is something for everyone. I found a super cute one in Ohio called E.J. Hannah. They have a great selection of contemporary styles and special occasion wear from the best brands! Of course, I fell in love with all gorgeous lace dresses almost immediately which led to me placing my first Shoptiques order 🙂
Shipping was super fast! I’d say it was about 4 days at the most. The items were packaged securely, which I appreciate.
The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the dresses were! One was a lace BCBG Max Azria shift dress (pictured above) and the other was an embroidered Monique L’huillier mini dress, two brands that are known for their high quality garments. Both dresses were in pristine condition – no pulls, rips, stains, missing buttons, strange odors or the like. While the fabrics are high quality, they are still very delicate so I appreciated the attention to detail in packaging them with care.
I was so happy to see that the boutique owner included a handwritten note in the package! I am such a sucker for little gestures like that (I seriously keep every single one haha!) and for me personally, it makes my shopping experience much more memorable and it certainly stands out amongst other shops. She also messaged me personally to let me know my order was on it’s way and offered additional help, if needed. Not only did she go above and beyond to make sure that my shopping experience was amazing, but she absolutely has the kindest heart.
This is the main reason why I love shopping boutiques. Yes, I love finding unique items that you may not be able to find otherwise, but I really love getting to know the person behind the brand. Boutique owners are not only more approachable, but also have a very real passion for what they do. They truly care about their customers and show this in any way possible. They have a passion for their business and have a work ethic like no other as they have likely worked very, very hard to get to where they are. They love fashion, love their business and love their customers. We all have our own dreams and I love knowing that when I shop a small business such as a boutique, I am helping that person fulfill their dream.
It was great! It was fun to look around at different boutiques and I love that you can buy from various ones in one sitting. I also love that you are able to shop local boutiques that you weren’t able to find online before. The whole process was super simple and the website was easy to navigate. I am very impressed with both Shoptiques and E.J. Hannah and will definitely be using them for my shopping needs in the future 🙂
Have you ever used Shoptiques?
