Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of movies from Hollywood’s golden age. Old movies have a sort of magic and glamour about them, especially where fashion is concerned. Well, they don’t call me Lizzie in Lace for nothing hehe! Lace has forever been one of my absolute favorite fabrics. It’s feminine, elegant and regal in a dreamy sort of way. The floral lace fabric immediately elevates the whole look in a very sophisticated sense. Imagine my delight when I saw just how affordable this gorgeous dress was!
Not only is this pink vintage inspired dress one of my favorite picks of the summer, but it’s something that I feel will remain in my wardrobe for years to come. This shade of pink is truly breathtaking and I adore the scalloped trim and ruffled hemline.
This pink vintage inspired dress would be perfect to wear to a wedding or special event. Although it does have a naturally “dressed up” look, I do think you could dress it down and still look amazing. But honestly, who am I kidding? If I had a dime for every time I was asked “Why are you so dressed up?”…lol!
For this look, I drew inspiration from my recent Old Hollywood movie marathon. I added a lovely quilted bag embellished with my favorite vintage Dior handkerchief. I also donned a sweet pair of bow heels, a simple pink headband and white vintage gloves with the daintiest amount of sparkle. To finish it off, I added a stunning pearl bracelet and glistening tennis necklace.
