Hello, pretties!
I hope you are enjoying your week! I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is only seven days away! If you are scrambling for last minute Valentine’s Day date ideas, look no further. I’ve put together a list of fun and creative ideas for any budget below. Also, don’t forget to check out my gift guide for some me-day gifts and date night attire (or just use it as a hint for that special guy haha!).
Outfit Details
Top c/o (also available in black) | Piperlime Skirt (R.I.P – old – similar here) | Coat c/o (50% off!) | Shoes (old – similar here) | Handbag (old – similar here) | Necklace
If you visit my blog often, then you already know that I dress like it’s Valentine’s Day 24/7 haha! I just can’t help that I’m drawn to dreamy fabrics with romantic details in the prettiest shades of pink *swoon* This outfit is a more “wear-to-work” V-Day outfit rather than a night on the town kind of outfit. I’ve styled this skirt more ways than I can count, but I just love it that much! In this case, I styled it with a ruffled balloon sleeve sweater and solid pink statement coat with grey accessories.
Anyway, I’m not typically a dinner and a movie kind of gal when it comes to Valentine’s Day (or date night for that matter). While I do enjoy it every now and then, there is just something so special about going against the norm and doing something a bit more creative. I’ve come up a with a list of non-traditional ideas that go against the typical dinner and movie stigma. Now I just need to narrow it down! 😉
Valentine’s Day Date Ideas
Pack Up a Picnic
Picnics are one of my favorite things ever! It’s such a simple, yet romantic gesture. Take your picnic to your favorite outdoor space or keep it inside (with a movie!) to stay extra cozy!
Make Desserts Together
Sweet treats are definitely the way to my heart! Grab your favorite recipe and conquer it together or make a fun dessert bar spread to create one-of-a-kind sweets.
Take a Class Together
Enroll in a class together and learn something new! There are classes for pretty much anything these days (dancing, painting, acting, cooking, fitness, mixology, etc). It’s a fun way to learn something new and spend time together.
Nostalgic Activities
Think about something that you, your husband or both of you used to do and revisit those memories. Simple things like ice skating, bowling, arcades games, a concert, go-carts, or mini golf are sure bring back lots of memories and make new ones!
Go Exploring
Get outside and explore! You can visit places in your hometown (go to the museum, that cute ice cream parlor, on a ghost tour or do something else that you haven’t done) or explore the outdoors with a bike ride, a hike or a camping trip.
Wine Tasting Tour
Pack up your suitcase and head to wine country! Have fun and relax while touring different wineries. If you don’t want to leave town, then just head local spots.
Road Trip
Plan a road trip to somewhere you’ve never been and have fun exploring with your significant other. I’ve found that the most spontaneous trips are usually the ones I remember the most 🙂
Spa Day
Check into the spa for the day for an afternoon of facials and massages! If you’d rather skip the spa, try some DIY treatments at home together.
Scavenger Hunt
I’m a sucker for things like these 😉 Plan a fun and creative scavenger hunt for your significant other with as many twists and turns as you can.
Check Off Something From Your Bucket List
Do something fun and spontaneous that you’ve never done before, but have always wanted to do! This is something that is sure to create an exciting and memorable experience (think a hot air balloon ride, skydiving, or… something not so crazy haha!).
Recreate Your First Date
I love this one for the nostalgia factor! We all remember our first dates and how special they were so why not recreate that incredible moment in real time?
Which one are you dying to try?
