5 Easy Self-Care Tips for Radiant Skin
Hydrate Your Skin
As a business owner, sometimes I have a hard time balancing it all. Usually I do a pretty good job but when I don’t, it definitely starts to show on my skin. Keeping your skin hydrated is key! I love using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Serum to keep my skin looking refreshed, awake and super smooth. It’s oil-free, non-comedogenic and includes Hyaluronic Acid to attract and lock in moisture resulting in all day hydration and glowing skin!
Moisturize Your Skin
Moisturizing is just as important as hydrating, especially when your skin starts to look dull and tired. Prioritizing skincare can definitely help turn it around and my secret weapon is the Bright Boost Brightening Gel Moisturizing Face Cream with Neoglucosamine. This gel cream is incredible and is the perfect addition to add after applying the serum. Not only does it provide additional hydration but it also smooths skin by reducing dullness and dark spots. Anddd it boosts surface cell turnover and visibly improves tone, texture and fine lines in as little as a week! This is definitely a well-rounded product that instantly revitalizes skin and fights the signs of aging over time – win win!
Drink Enough Water
While we’re on the topic of hydration, it is so so important to drink enough water! I personally loveee drinking water but I know that sometimes it can be a bit bland, especially if you’re not a huge water drinker. During those times, I like to change it up by adding in various fruits to infuse my water. Depending on the fruits used, this can also create additional health benefits. Some of my favorites are: Cucumber Mint, Strawberry and Lemon, Mint, and Ginger. I also keep track of my hourly intake to ensure I’m drinking enough.
Always Remove Makeup
Removing makeup is important in so many aspects. It washes away dirt, impurities, and makeup that can cause skin irritations, acne, and even premature aging. Personally, I love the skincare aspect of it but I also love the symbolism of “wiping the day away” – it instantly makes me feel more relaxed 🙂 Makeup wipes are definitely my favorite because they are so convenient, especially during days when I’m tired or just don’t have a lot of time. I love using the Oil-Free Cleansing Wipes – Pink Grapefruit because the scent is so energizing (perfect for morning too!) and they wipe away bacteria, dirt, and pore-clogging impurities in one simple step without leaving behind any greasy residue. They are also dermatologist-tested, oil-free, and allergy-tested which is so important with those of us that have sensitive skin. I love all of their wipes but the pink grapefruit is my favorite because it’s ideal for acne-prone skin.
Get Enough Sleep
An unexpected change that I made in my routine was making sure that I got enough sleep every night. I used to stay up late and wake up early just to get everything done but now I give myself grace and schedule an adequate amount of time to sleep (usually 8-9 hours). I know that sometimes, we feel like we have to do it all but I’ve realized that it’s more important to take care of ourselves. I didn’t understand just how many skincare and health benefits that I was missing out on by cutting my sleep time short. Personally, I like to have a whole nighttime self-care routine starting with removing makeup, applying skincare, reading and finally, getting to bed by 10 pm. I also have a silk pillowcase and eye mask to optimize skincare benefits.
