Happy Wednesday, pretty friends!
I hope you had the most amazing New Years Eve! My husband and I stayed in to watch movies because we’re old people haha 😉 With a new year comes new trends and I am excited to share my top 2018 fashion trends with you today. Read on to see what made the cut along with my Hot Pink Coat Outfit!

First things first. I am LOVE with this Hot Pink Coat Outfit Idea! It incorporates all of my favorites things into one outfit: pink, glitter, ruffles and bows. This coat is such a cheery and fun alternative to the otherwise drab outerwear uniform. And this dress! Ahh I love it so much. I mixed textures with my faux fur detailed handbag and glittery rose gold shoes but was sure to keep them in the same color family. I love how the blush color looks with the brighter pink. It’s fun yet polished…who knew those two words could describe the same outfit? Ha! Plus, how amazing do my lashes look? I don’t usually wear falsies (just a lot of mascara lol!) because I have such a hard time putting them on. They also stick everywhere except where I want them to be. However, I did it and I absolutely love the look of these because they are so natural looking. My husband didn’t even know I was wearing them! Anyway, onto my top favorite 2018 fashion trends.
Hot Pink Coat Outfit Idea & MY FAVORITE 2018 FASHION TRENDS
Ultra Violet
I totally had a feeling that purple was going to be the color of the year haha! I started seeing gorgeous lavender pieces a few months ago that seemingly came out of nowhere. I’ve already started implementing it into my wardrobe as witnessed from this outfit and this outfit plus I have my eye on this gorgeous coat! So excited to include more of this color in my wardrobe!
Embellished Shoes
Embellishments were HUGE in 2017 and included everything from handbags and shoes to jeans and sweaters. This is one trend that I absolutely cannot get enough of! Pearls, studs, and jewels make everything so much more interesting and I am glad to see this trend continue into 2018. And seriously, how cute are my glitter pom pom heels?
Berets
Another favorite trend of mine is the beret! It must be the French girl in me 😉 I am obsessed to say the least. I’ve scored myself a cream colored one and a pearl embellished one and cannot wait to style them this year.
Dreamy Sheer Fabrics
Sheer fabrics have been appearing all over the runway and in stores over the last few years and it doesn’t look like this trend is going anywhere…which makes me so happy because it’s one of my favorites 😉 The 2018 spin on this trend is that these dreamy fabrics will be more voluminous than in years past. I’m pretty sure my dress from this Hot Pink Coat Outfit hits the mark with it’s ruffled goodness hehe.
Balloon Sleeves
I adore this trend because it’s so different than what we are used to. This unique sleeve made an appearance on sweaters in 2017 and you can expect it to be included in many garments in 2018. I can just see a gorgeous maxi dress with this detail!
Fringe
Fringe will be huge in 2018 and not like it was in the past. I’m talking all fringe everything! Expect to see ethereal fringe maxi dresses and fringe detailing this year.
Statement Earrings
This trend will continue into 2018 with a few updates. Long gone are the days of dainty jewelry, this year is all about making a statement. BaubleBar is my personal fave for statement earrings. Unfortunately, my ears aren’t pierced (did you know that?) but I’m seriously thinking about taking the plunge!
Playful Socks
I think this trend is so cute! I’ve been seeing fun, colorful socks all over the place. From polka dot and striped to sheer and ruffled, socks are making a huge statement in 2018.
Wide Leg Pants
This is one of those trends that I wish I could wear because it’s just so chic! Wide leg pants were big in 2017 and will continue to be a key player this year.
