I can’t believe that it’s already February! Time is flying by! Next week marks not only Valentine’s Day but also my 5 year blog anniversary 😉 I’ll be sharing more on the latter at a later time but today I wanted to share two easy ways to style a Valentine’s Day skirt!
Outfit Details
Chi Chi London Sweater (old – similar here) | Eliza J Sequin Floral Skirt c/o | Chi Chi London Lilac Coat (old – similar here) | Kate Spade Pink Coat (sold out – similar here and here) | Shrimps Handbag | Lilac Heels (old – similar here) | BaubleBar Headband
From the moment I saw this skirt, I knew it would be the perfect thing to wear for Valentine’s Day! The colors, florals and sparkle give it the right amount of sass without going overboard. It’s unlike anything else I’ve seen! I think that texture-wise, it would look super cute with an oversized chunky sweater but I decided to have a little bit of fun with it 😉 I took inspiration from the color palette of the skirt when looking for other items to pair and ultimately decided on styling two different colored coats that make each pairing different enough to stand out.
The basis of the outfit is the same incorporating a white pearl embellished sweater, headband and purse along with a dark lilac heel. The first coat is a gorgeous lilac that matches the skirt and includes the most adorable bow detail on the sleeves. This monochrome look is stylish and colorful but still very wearable and not too over the top. The second coat is a slightly more saturated pretty pink playing off the rose pattern from the skirt and includes a faux fur collar and stunning jeweled button details. This colorful look is bold, fun and just a little bit “extra” – it makes a statement while still looking put-together.
