It’s so secret that most of my closet is made up of pink. And while it may be true than many of my outfits include some shade of pink, I do love other colors as well! Pastel shades of any sort are always a favorite – whether it’s blush pink, lilac, mint green, baby blue or light yellow. Speaking of the latter, I don’t wear yellow very often but when I do, it’s absolutely magical! Today I’m sharing the most perfect yellow dress for transitioning from summer to fall!

Although I’ve always been fond of pink, you may be surprised to know that my favorite color from when I was in grade school was actually yellow! I do think that this is mainly due to Big Bird as I loved Sesame Street lol! Aside from that, the color is just so happy, exciting and sunny (literally). It always brightens my day and puts a smile on my face. However, I’ve always had a bit of a fashion dilemma. You see… yellow is not my color. Or at least I didn’t think it was!
Previously, I was drawn to the “wrong” shades of yellow – bright, bold and even mustard? Yes, you heard that right lol! But I found that when I wore these shades, they really just did no favors for me. As I got older, I shied away from yellow and embraced my naturally pink self! I’ve ALWAYS loved pink and now I love it even more. I never tire of it!
Fast forward to today and I’ve discovered color analysis and various seasons, which explains why some colors look good on me and others don’t. I’m still trying to figure out what I am but I’m leaning more toward Light Summer, which * surprise, * doesn’t have much yellow. BUT it does have light yellow, which I adore.
Initially I was drawn to this yellow dress for the color, floral print and overall design. It’s really adorable! I wasn’t sure how I would look in it, but I absolutely love it! For even more happy, sunny vibes, I paired it with my daisy necklace and headband, a pair of white sandals and my woven heart bag. This yellow dress would also look super cute paired with white boots and a cozy, chunky cardi for fall.
