This might be one of my all-time favorites outfits that I’ve ever styled! It’s top ten, for sure. The print is actually what sold me on this white outfit. I do love a good white dress (I mean, just look in my wardrobe haha!) but I have so much love in my heart for vintage inspired prints. This gorgeous blue and white floral print reminds me an antique vase or dish set. It was love at first sight!
What’s even more interesting is that this “dress” is no dress at all but a top and skirt set. I absolutely adore matching sets because I’m such a dress person. But having two pieces makes styling much easier, more versatile and a whole lot more fun. You can easily pair each of these pieces with several other separates for an entirely new look (perfect for capsule wardrobes).
For this set in particular, I love all the details on this top – the vintage style collar, giant bow and of course, the puff sleeves. The belted skirt creates a flattering silhouette, especially paired with such a voluminous top. If you’re wondering about the twirl factor, I must say that it really is something!
To complete my elegant white outfit, I added my favorite white sandals, dainty silver jewelry and the most GORGEOUS dragonfly hair clip. Seriously look at that sparkle! Have you ever seen anything more beautiful? And just because I always love to add a pop of color, I included a light pastel pink handbag to add some contrast to my white outfit. When mixing different colors, I like to keep them at the same intensity (ex. pastels, jewel tones, brights, etc). The soft blue and pastel pink really look stunning together!
What do you think of this elegant white outfit? Would you wear both pieces together or style separately?
