Back in November, we went on an adventure to Palm Springs. It was our first time visiting and it definitely won’t be our last! We were so lucky to stay in this gorgeous rental from Acme House Co. And seriously, this is a “Lizzie House” if I ever saw one! Photos absolutely do not do it justice (if you can believe that)!
….BRB moving in.. haha!
Palm Springs is known for more than just palm trees and sunshine! This little slice of paradise is home to some of the world’s most beautiful architecture, unique home layouts and flamboyant home decor. Let me tell you, this entire home in particular is an interior designer’s dream! It’s called “Pretty in Pink” and it definitely lived up to the name! Every corner was like Disneyland with something new to discover and creative details adorning every inch. I personally LOVE mid-century modern decor, especially if it’s in a color palette as pretty as this! It was hard NOT to take photos of this gorgeous pink palace so I thought I’d share a home tour with you all along with my thoughts on the property! Read on to see where to stay in Palm Springs!

Where to Stay in Palm Springs
Acme Homes Review
Living Area
This living area was my absolute favorite indoor space! It’s Pinterest-worthy is every sense with a soft, muted, feminine color palette and unique decor that makes it perfect for Instagram shots and relaxing alike. It showcased a lovely mix of colors and textures that inspired my inner designer and had plenty of seating with a love seat, two chaise lounges, and various chairs and stools. I also really loved the floors!

Kitchen & Dining Room
The kitchen was incredibly spacious and showcased a gorgeous designer kitchen and plenty of seating at the bar (not pictured) and dining room table. All the touches were very luxe with metallic details, a mini bar and a minimalistic monochrome color palette. A cute reading nook added a splash of color and design with a fun blue wall and gorgeous light fixture! the dining room light fixture was equally as gorgeous with “floating bubbles.”

Restrooms
Restrooms were extremely spacious and clean! Both full bathrooms featured double sinks, large standing showers and plenty of counter space. There was also a gorgeous light blue powder room with some fun photographs (and actually there were a lot of fun photos throughout the home!). Each bathroom had plenty of towels and even a black makeup towel along with travel sized products.

Bedrooms
There were four bedrooms in all and I loved that all of them were decorated different! The rooms themselves were very spacious and included everything you could possibly need to relax. Beds were also very spacious and extremely comfortable! Closets also had quite a bit of room (two of them were walk in), especially the one coming off the the blue bedroom!

Outdoor Area
Both outdoor areas were my absolute favorite part of the house as a whole and I spent the majority of my time enjoying the gorgeous 70 degree weather. This area is definitely where it gets the name “Pretty in Pink!” Touches of pink adorned the area in the form of throw pillows, umbrellas, and chairs. The seating situation was unreal! You could easily fit a few dozen people outside and still move around comfortably – so crazy! This area expands across the entire length of the house so there is a lot of space for relaxation and fun! It includes an outdoor BBQ area, a fire pit and fun outdoor activity areas like a giant shuffleboard and mini putting green. The house itself is actually situated on a golf course!

Pool Area
I LOVED the pool area!! Lots of pink touches with the chairs, pillows and doors and an ample amount of space to hangout. There was also a TON of seating with lounge chairs, benches, pool chairs, swinging papasan chairs and even an outdoor dining set (not pictured). I thought that this area in particular really screamed “Palm Springs” with the little design details. I loved all the greenery, especially the trees lining the pool. It really gave it that paradise feel! The pool was set at a very comfortable temperature (it may have even been heated?) and it was the perfect place to retreat to. I also really loved the jacuzzi! The temperature and jet pressure was perfect in every way! This is typically where we started and ended our days 🙂 Both the pool and jacuzzi have colorful lights that come on at night and I thought that was so much fun! And my favorite part of it all? The view. Just when I thought the home couldn’t get any better, I went for a sunset swim and watched in awe as the mountains changed colors right in front of my eyes – from bold and brilliant hues to light and airy pastels. It just doesn’t get any better than that!

Overall Thoughts – The “Pretty in Pink” House
The house was incredible!! This is honestly the BEST rental I’ve ever stayed in! Not only was it stunningly decorated (I not-so-secretly wish I could move in haha!) but the place was clean and spotless upon entry, something that is really important to me. Everything was well-maintained and looked like it had never been touched.
It would be perfect for a larger group like for a family vacation or girl’s getaway but to be honest, it was also really nice with just a few of us. There was always plenty to do at the house. In fact, we only went downtown one day and spent the rest of the time at the home relaxing, playing games, swimming and just enjoying each other’s company. When I travel, I usually like to spend the majority of my time exploring the location and while we did do that too, it didn’t feel like it was needed and I didn’t feel obligated to go anywhere else. We were perfectly content lounging by the pool, playing mini golf, reading a magazine in the papasan chair and playing monopoly at the dining room table. It was honestly like living in a dream.
Overall Thoughts – Acme House Co.
This was my first experience with Acme House Co and I will definitely be using them again! They are SO nice, knowledgable and helpful! They answered all of my questions and made sure to send over instructions detailing everything. Check in and check out was effortless and easy. Upon arrival, they had music playing welcoming us into the home. There were just so many nice touches that are sometimes easily overlooked but they definitely went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable and memorable stay. When we walked through the home for the first time, we were all honestly speechless! We immediately went to the website and started looking at their other rentals and seriously, ALL of them are gorgeous and they have so many different options dependent on budget, party size and even decor theme. You could blindly choose one and be happy with it and I can honestly say that there is really no other company that puts this amount of attention to detail into their rentals. We started dreaming about all the different homes we wanted to stay in and all the memories we would make when we visited in the future… and that’s what travel is all about. It opens your mind to new possibilities and I’m so thankful that I got to experience that with Acme House Co. I can’t wait to go back!!
Have you ever been to Palm Springs?
If not, you MUST put it on your travel bucket list!
