You all know I love a good vintage moment 😉 In fact, my personal style draws a lot of inspiration from the past – the silhouettes, prints and types of items I wear. I love mixing vintage with new to create a feminine style that’s all my own. Today I’m talking all about how to wear a vintage inspired cardigan for summer!
How to Wear a Vintage Inspired Cardigan for Summer

Cardigans have been a hot item for a while now (maybe we have Taylor Swift to thank for that lol?). I remember seeing them everywhere last fall and I have a feeling that they will be sticking around for this fall as well. And while most people associate cardigans with cooler weather, I’ve been loving lightweight short sleeved versions for summer as well – especially this vintage inspired cardigan. This cardi looks like something you’d pick up in a thrift store (in fact, when I shared it in my haul, a lot of people thought that it was actually vintage!). It has beautiful details like pretty pointelle, adorable scalloped details and my personal favorite, floral embroidery made of ribbons. It truly is a special item!
Personally, I think this vintage inspired cardigan would look perfect with a pair of high waisted wide leg jeans reminiscent of the 70s. In this case, I decided to modernize it and amplify the femininity with a twirly pink skirt. This skirt is seriously the cutest thing! It’s the perfect shade of pink and I love the bow tie detail at the waist. I paired it with heels in a similar hue. They also have a trendy square toe and a unique heel. The color honestly reminds me of summer time and it’s just so much fun! Lastly, I added my adorable white quilted handbag to tie it all together along with some pearl jewelry.
Hope you loved this vintage inspired cardigan outfit!
