Hello, pretties! Happy Friday!
So, yesterday I hosted my very first event – eek! Since I work outside the blog during the week (and all of the events I’m invited to are in LA), I have never been able to attend any in the past BUT I am so excited that I finally had the chance to make an appearance. I shared all the behind-the-scenes footage on my Instagram stories and posted a carousel of images in my latest Instagram post (trust me, you want to see this place!). For all of you that came out to support me, I appreciate it so much!! And for those of you that couldn’t, I will be sharing some photos next week 😀
Anyway, today I’m sharing how to style one dress two different ways. Check it out below!
Outfit Details – #1
The first thing that you probably noticed is that I’m actually wearing flats *gasp!* First, jeans…now, flats?! It’s true. Being the shortie I am (4’11”), I tend not to wear flats in my photos because I feel that they make me look shorter….and even though, I do wear a ton flats outside the blog, I never really wear sneakers. However, I am always willing to experiment a little and I have to say that I am IN LOVE with these shoes. They are SOOO comfy and I am completely obsessed with the rose gold. Plus how cute is the ruffle detailing? I would totally pair these with a dress for a walk in the city and I love that even though they are technically sneakers, they are still very chic, stylish and feminine. For this look, I paired them with a gorgeous ruffle dress, mauve cross body bag and a gold star necklace. I love that the sneakers juxtapose this ultra feminine dress and play well with the volume as well and even though it’s a simple look, it’s still stylish yet comfortable.
Outfit Details – #2
Styling one piece of clothing (such as this dress) in different ways is really easy when you change your accessories and add layers. For this second look, I added a layer and pop of color with this fun pink coat. I changed out my gold star necklace to a sparkly silver one and switched to a pale pink handbag. I also traded in my metallic sneakers for these glittery rose gold pom pom heels. The heel height is extremely comfortable and I love all the added details on these shoes! I went more “glam” for the second look just by adding some additional sparkle to my accessories. I actually wore this dress and coat with different accessories for the Holiday Home Tour a couple weekends back and I cannot tell you how many compliments I received for this dress…at least 20-25. You all know I love Chicwish and out of all the items I own from them, this is probably my very favorite. If you have been eyeballing this dress (or even if you haven’t), you absolutely need it in your life!
