Even though it’s technically fall, the temperature is still well above 90 degrees in California so I’m soaking up every second of sunshine that I can and getting optimal wear out of all my floaty floral dresses 🙂 This girly colorful floral dress is one of my current faves for transitioning into a new season!

In my last post, I shared some “fall photos” that we took on a whim. We looked high and low for a good spot since our leaves haven’t changed yet lol! California always seems to be off on the seasons compared to other places – our spring flowers start blooming in late February and our leaves start turning in late November. Needless to say, we still have summer weather until just after Halloween… when most people are already cozied up in their sweaters and some are even in coats! Not that I’m complaining 😉 Summer is treacherous here for sure but I do love the few weeks when we finally transition to fall. There’s nothing quite like those refreshing, cool, crisp mornings, incredible autumn colors and being cozied up on the couch with a big bowl of warm soup and a good book. The feeling of fall is what I love the most… and the weather is just as divine. We have just a few more days of 90 degree temps before they finally drop and I’m taking full advantage by wearing all of my favorite, flowy dresses!
In particular, I adore this girly colorful floral dress. The flutter sleeves and tiered ruffle skirt make my heart sing! And the colors are like something out of a dream. It has the cutest floral print but from afar it almost looks like an explosion of confetti! To take this dress into fall, I paired it with a beautiful green handbag and when the temps drop, I can easily pair it with a cozy cardigan. I have to say that this is my first green handbag ever and I love it!!! In fact, I don’t have much green at all in my wardrobe aside from a coat or two so it’s needed and I feel like this shade would work well with so many other colors (burgundy, navy, mauve, pale pink, light grey and cream). Plus I adore the vintage shape and the adorable bow detail 😉
