I love a good vintage inspired outfit 😉 There’s just something so feminine about styles from the past and this dress embodies everything I love about that – the ruffled hemline, the bow neck detail, the flattering fit and of course, the prettiest pastel blue color. It’s a vintage dream come true!

The moment I saw this dress, I knew I had to make space for it in my wardrobe. It reminds of the vintage Pan Am uniforms or (for my MadMen fans out there) a cross between the styles of Joan and Betty. This dress has the flattering fit that Joan was known for mixed with the pastel color palette of Betty’s feminine style. It definitely gives me early sixties vibes and I could absolutely see it styled with a bouffant.
To modernize it, I styled this beauty with a trendy square toe heel in cream. At first, I wasn’t a fan of the square toe (hello, 90s!) but it’s actually grown on me. I actually just got some square toe boots for fall! I can’t wait to wear them 🙂
Additionally, I included my favorite light pink handbag to compliment the light blue hue of the dress. I donned a creamy pearl headband to match the shoes and play off the pearls from the bag. Lastly, I added minimal jewelry – a gorgeous aquamarine ring to match the dress and a pink pearl brooch to bring the whole outfit together. I just love styling pastel colors together! It’s such a lovely combo. Since pearls are a classic and feminine staple, I knew I wanted to add them in a unique, stylish way.
