I love to wear pink for every season – from classic blush to magenta to mauve. And while I don’t always stick within the style rules of seasonally appropriate colors, I do tend to gravitate toward rich and sophisticated jewel tones for fall. The colors mimic the changing leaves and with this change comes the welcoming of a new season of fashion. Layers, textures and colors all play a vital part in fall dressing. It’s a great time to experiment with being both functional and stylish. The biggest fall occasion is, of course, Thanksgiving and like many holidays, we look high and low for the perfect Thanksgiving outfit inspo. This brings me to today’s outfit!
I’m not usually a color block kind of gal but I was immediately drawn to this maxi skirt. The bold combination of brown, burgundy and magenta reminded me of fall and I knew that it would be perfect for Thanksgiving. The skirt is also super twirIy and has a suede like feel. I paired it with a matching pink sweater that includes the faintest hint of sparkle. Since this is quite a colorful outfit, I used a dreamy white coat and white pair of boots to break it up a bit. I also added a raspberry pink handbag to mimic the color of the sweater along with a sparkly necklace that included a variety of gorgeous fall tones. I finished off the look with a whimsical snowflake pearl headband but a simple pearl or white headband would look amazing as well.
Overall, I think this combo makes for a colorful and feminine Thanksgiving outfit!
