Red and Pink Valentine’s Day Outfit

Elizabeth Hugen of Lizzie in Lace styles a red and pink Valentine's Day outfit

Hello, beautiful friends <3

I apologize for being absent this week. To be completely honest, I’ve been a bit out of it lately and haven’t had the energy to do much. The year started off wonderful and then it very quickly went in the opposite direction. I’ve been tested so much in the past two weeks with multiple family deaths along other personal issues and it has been wearing me down emotionally so I just needed to take a time out. I definitely don’t want to be a Debbie Downer or anything. Just wanted to give some context about what’s been happening. I’m starting to feel better although it’s taking a bit of time but I appreciate you all being patient with me <3 I’ll be back at 100% soon!

Today, I wanted to share one last red and pink Valentine’s Day outfit with you!

Although I’m definitely much more of a pink girl when it comes to Valentine’s Day (or any other day for that matter haha), I couldn’t help but fall in love with this red beret! I’ve always wanted a red beret and this one was too cute to pass up with the pearl embellished bow. I knew I would look amazing with this red cape and when I got it, this is exactly how I envisioned styling it. I love how the red looks against this pretty pink dress – such a lovely combo and the perfect red and pink Valentine’s Day outfit!

I should also note that these photos were totally last minute! I wasn’t planning to shoot this look in it’s entirety due to time constraints with the wind and rain but I’m so glad we did because I loved the way it turned out! I was just being silly twirling about… but somehow those end up always being the most fun photos.

What are your plans for Valentine’s Day?

We’re usually pretty low-key with a nice homemade dinner and movie 🙂 Although, we did go out to dinner one year and it was CRAZY – hence why we stay home haha!

xo
