As you can imagine, I’ve always been a fan of dressing up. Creating outfits from my mother’s closet and giving my little sister makeover’s were just a few of my favorite childhood activities. Even then, I understood the power of dressing up and how something so small could make a big impact.

This dress in particular caught my attention when I was browsing on Zappos.com. I fell in love with the intricate lace detailing and knew it would be the perfect day to evening dress! For work, I would layer on blazer and style it with a neutral pump and structured tote. For evening, I would swap out the blazer for a statement necklace and accessorize with a strappy heel and clutch. 😉
I received my dress within 48 hours of placing my order. It was SO fast (and free)! Initially, I wasn’t sure how the dress would fit with my body shape but I took the chance because Zappos has an amazing 365 day return policy. Once I tried on the dress, my worries went away. It fit like a glove! And it is absolutely gorgeous in person – so well made! I’m not one to wear figure hugging dresses, but this one really made me feel beautiful…and isn’t that how your clothing should make you feel? I literally wore it around the apartment for the rest of the day haha! With it’s classic shape and feminine details, I know this Adrianna Papell dress is one that I will reach for time and time again.
