While I won’t be partaking in the festivities this year, the Kentucky Derby is always a favorite when it comes to fashion. I think of it like another fashion week hehe! As a native Californian, I live a long way from Kentucky. Yet it’s always been a dream of mine to attend the Kentucky Derby. I absolutely love seeing everyone’s outfits every year. It’s so inspiring to see so much creativity, self-expression and freedom with fashion! After all, my motto has always been to wear what makes you feel the most beautiful and confident and I just love that so many are putting this into practice. There is a uniform of sorts and it very much screams “Southern Belle,” which I happen to love.

Another thing I look forward to every year is the Radley London Kentucky Derby Collection and this one might be my favorite yet (see my previous look here)! I was inspired by this dreamy rose handbag to create an equally feminine and romantic outfit just for derby day. When I saw this ultra glam dress from JessaKae, I knew it was a perfect match! With sparkling sequins, twirly tulle layers and the dreamiest spring floral, this beauty is perfect for all of my girly girls. And this pink QueenMee bow headband? *chef’s kiss* The cherry on top of a beautiful look! While I love a good fascinator, this bow headband is perfect for a more understated look (and something I would wear in my day to day life).

I finished off this Kentucky Derby outfit with a pair of metallic gold heels and pearl jewelry. The result is a sweet confection of frills fit for a princess. Aside from the obvious event, this look would also make an incredible wedding guest outfit for spring! In fact, I have a wedding coming up in a few weeks 😉 What do you think?
