Pink Aztec Print Maxi Dress
There was a time when I never thought I’d be able to wear a maxi dress. At 4’11”, its hard to find anything that fits..let alone a long dress! I thought they would make me look even shorter and stumpy. However, once I actually tried one, I was surprised to find how flattering they were and how much taller I looked wearing one! Pretty soon, one became many and now they are amongst my favorite silouettes.
When I started the boutique, I once again, was afraid to try this Pink Aztec Print Maxi Dress of fear that it would be way too long (at least that’s what everyone had told me). I threw on some ankle boots and the heel height was perfect for the dress. This one in particular was VERY hard to find. It’s actually an old pattern and finding one is like finding a needle in a haystack. But I did and I’m so glad! The color is so rich and beautiful! Even though I have tons of printed garments, they mostly consist of florals, polka dots and a cutesy print here and there. I am not a fan of crazy, bold prints or the mixing of a lot of colors. This print was a little outside my comfort zone, but I really love it and am so glad that it has a home in my closet. Like any other good Fall outfit, I accessorized with my favorite hat, boots and gold jewelry.
