From one princess to another – I have to admit that fragrance is the best accessory! 😉 I have quite the perfume collection but nothing compares to the ultra luxurious Parfums de Marly.
It all started with the iconic Delina, which became my signature scent for years. Since then, I’ve expanded my collection to include the entire Parfums de Marly feminine collection including their latest release, Palatine. You can view my collection here along with previous fragrance reviews (at the bottom of this post). Today, however, I am sharing an honest Palatine Parfums de Marly Review along with first impressions and a scent test.
Is Parfums de Marly worth it? Read on to find out!

Palatine Parfums de Marly Review

Parfums de Marly Packaging
Parfums de Marly ALWAYS has the most exceptional packaging! Everything from the box to the bottle to the color is just *chef’s kiss*! The box also has a beautiful velvet lining that protects the bottle. It’s the little details that Parfums de Marly goes the extra mile for that really sets them apart.

PDM Palatine Bottle Design
The bottle design itself is similar to the other Parfums de Marly feminine collection fragrances. Like the others, it has a luxurious tassel, baroque-inspired design elements and an elegant metal lid with a purple gemstone detail. The only change for Palatine is the color, which is a sheer purple evoking sophistication and regal charm with just the very sight of it.
One thing I’ve noticed is that all of the scents compliment the bottle designs perfectly. Usually the sheer bottles include a more light and airy fragrance and by the looks of this one, I feel like it’s going to be incredibly feminine with floral and fruity notes.

Parfums de Marly Palatine Notes
- Top Notes: Mandarin, Bergamot, Pear
- Heart Notes: Violet Petal, Lavandin, Floral Bouquet
- Base Notes: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Musk, Vanilla

First Impressions of Palatine eau de Parfum
Wow is all I can say. This fragrance is BEAUTIFUL! The scent perfectly matches the bottle and what I imagined it to be – a feminine and romantic dreamscape of a scent that transports you elsewhere. This scent opens with a burst of florals and a hint of fruity notes. It’s light and airy yet somehow deep and intense all at once. It dries down to a lovely floral against a powdery backdrop with the slightest hint of vanilla.
Upon smelling it, I could just imagine myself looking out across the most beautiful lavender field. I could see myself picnicking among lilac-colored florals spanning as far as the eye could see against a perfectly blue sky while feeling the warmth of sunshine mixed with the faintest breeze. It has an explosive opening and delicate dry down that is effortlessly feminine and oh so romantic.
I think that Palatine from Parfums de Marly would be gorgeous for the spring and summer season but honestly, it’s quite unique and I could see it working across all. While I see it best suited for daytime, it could work for night as well and I think it would be an absolutely stunning wedding day perfume!

Longevity
Lighter scents usually last 6-8 hours on me and this lasted most of the day, which was great! The scent was very light and not overpowering in the slightest. Definitely great for everyday!
Overall Thoughts on Parfums de Marly Palatine
I always look forward to seeing (and smelling) new fragrance launches from Parfums de Marly. They are each so unique yet beautiful in their own way. I truly have not found one that I didn’t like and Palatine by Parfums de Marly is a great addition to their feminine fragrance collection. I love it so much and highly recommend if you are looking for a feminine fragrance fit for a princess (or an incredible holiday gift for the fragrance lover!).
