It’s finally Friday and let me tell you…this was SUCH a longgg week!  I am SO happy that it’s almost the weekend and I’m planning to spend my day doing some much needed organizing haha. There was a time when I thought I would never be able to wear floral maxi dresses without paying a million dollars to get it altered. When you’re under five foot, there are many challenges present with clothing including the fact that EVERYTHING is way too long. I remember the first time I ever tried one on. I looked in the dressing room mirror with disappointment as I stared at myself practically being devoured by fabric. I looked like a little girl playing dress up! This happened over and over and over and after a while, I came to the conclusion that I was just “too short” to wear floral maxi dresses. Fast forward a few years later and I decided to give it another try. This time I had finally found the perfect maxi! The length was perfect and the fit was super flattering and elongating. I fell in love and from that point on, my collection started to grow because I finally knew what to look for. It’s no secret that I love dresses of all shapes, but there is something about a maxi dress that makes me feel so beautiful and you’ll often catch me wearing them on the weekends or when I’m out and about 😉

I love this dress in particular because it has the most stunning floral print, a gorgeous ruffle hem and a flattering wrap waist. The only thing I didn’t like is that the material is bit thin and see-through. It’s not too bad, but I wore a slip underneath anyway. Speaking of thin fabric….it was 40 degrees and extremely windy when we took these photos. I usually don’t mind a bit of wind, but it was SO COLD (very uncommon for California)! I was literally shaking and my bangs were all over the place haha! Maybe I’ll post some outtakes on Instagram…”behind the scenes” hahaha!
