Our last stop of the @guanajuato_mex magic towns tour brings us to Jalpa de Canovas ✨

Jalpa de Canovas is one the most historic Spanish towns in Mexico, tracing its roots back to 1542. It’s a quaint town surrounded by lush vegetation and farms producing a variety of foods. The town also has the most unique church that I’ve seen during our tour, which boasts a much simpler and streamlined architectural style 🔔

While in Jalpa, we walked around town, toured the church, had a delicious lunch and immersed ourselves in a more relaxed and laid back last day. Our hotel had the most gorgeous courtyard, lots of history and included so many unique rooms! We went on a tour to see how different each one is in terms of decor and layout 🎀

We also got to tour the stunning Hotel Casa Luis Long before our last meal at Pergola. And what a great last meal it was as I tried one of the dishes unique only to that restaurant - a breaded pepper stuffed with chicken (and set on fire!). The whole vibe was luxe and gothic 👑

Overall, I LOVED my trip to guanajuato. Having the opportunity to explore the magic towns was such a dream! We did miss Yurriria but I guess that means that I’ll need to go back soon (no complaints here) 🙊 I loved seeing the gorgeous architecture, exploring all of the unique towns, eating so many delicious meals, learning about the cultures and immersing myself in so many unique experiences. This is a trip I will never forget and I can’t wait to return to explore more of the state of Guanajuato! 🥰 Which town was your favorite?
