Dreamy Presets: Editing with the Millennial Pink Photo Preset
Today I’m talking about photo editing and presets…particularly the Dreamy Presets Millennial Pink preset. I’ve been using presets for long time, but I’ve had a hard time finding one that really fits the look I’m going for. I’ve even tried to make my own presets but if you ever done something similar, then you know how time-consuming, confusing and frustrating it can be. When I saw the Millennial Pink preset, I knew I wanted to give it a try.
The pack comes with the original Millennial Pink photo preset, a brighter version and a more contrasted version. After experimenting with it a bit, I decided that sharing a few before and after examples might be helpful for those of you looking for a pretty pink preset! It’s a little less saturated than what I how I normally edit, but I love the subtle pink tint and retro look.
For all of these photos I used the original version of the pink photo preset and tweaked a few things such as brightness, coloring, etc to create my own sub-preset. All of these were shot in RAW (with the exception of the flatlay – I shoot those in jPEG) and I chose photos from recent posts that were all shot in different locations so you can get an idea of how it would work in different lighting scenarios. I’ll include that info below too 🙂

These photos looks amazing! Do you also adjust the contrast, and/or brightness, and/or anything else with the lighting before using the pre-set? Or do you just apply the pre-set over the original photo? I always struggle with my photos when they come out darker then I want them. I end up fiddling with the brightness and lose the color. Thank you for posting this!

There you go being magical again! Presets really do save a bunch of time. I usually just edit my first image the way I want it, then save those settings as a preset for the rest of the images in the set.

This pre-set looks so good on your photos! Do you brighten your photos before adding the filter? Or, do you apply the filter without any other lighting or contrast edits?
