Many years ago, I had a nightmare permanent hair extension experience with Hairdreams hair extensions, which lead me to trying out a halo extension as my hair grew back. After my permanent hair extension nightmare, I developed food allergies. That said, I think they’d look better if they included some natural root darkness for the lighter hair colors (I think darker ones would actually be okay). And the way they are created makes them much more suitable for updo’s, ponytails or half up half down styles, rather than fully down styles.

Overall, I love the Luxy clip-in extensions and believe they are among the best clip-in hair extensions! I love how soft and natural the hair looks and feels. I also love having both the halo and clip-in versions so that I can create whatever hairstyles my heart desires! Definitely the among best hair extensions for women that I’ve tried. I’m usually the lightest blonde but they recently changed the tone of the platinum color so it looks a bit cooler. I got platinum in both originally and they didn’t match one another. The older platinum was a better match but they no longer have it. I was recommended the Beige Blonde Balayage for the Clip-Ins and it actually worked beautifully. It’s definitely a bit different than the original platinum I was sent but you honestly can’t really tell. I’m wearing each color in the photos above and it looks nearly identical. I don’t think they have the Beige Blonde Balayage in a halo version so for now, this is what I’m working with 😉 In the future, I do hope that the same colors will be available across all types of extensions and that matching won’t be an issue.
As far as halos and clip-ins, I personally keep both in my beauty arsenal. Halos offer romantic everyday vibes and Clip-Ins are perfect for my glamorous alter ego. The halo is perfect for my everyday looks since I mainly wear it down. But I love having the option and versatility to create different hairstyles or add more volume!
