Lacemade Review: Read this before you buy!

I discovered this brand quite a while ago and it honestly took me a bit of time to actually order haha! I thought to myself – “Is Lacemade legit? Is the quality bad? Will I actually get my items?” If you’re here, I’m sure that you have these same questions. Today, I am sharing a completely *unsponsored* Lacemade review answering all of these and more. I also included two videos below so you can see my collection and the items in action!

Lacemade Review: Is it worth it?

What is Lacemade?

Lacemade is a fashion brand that specializes in ultra dreamy and feminine dresses, corsets, and other clothing items. On their website, you’ll find a lot of unique designs within the cottagecore, coquette, fairycore, princess and regencycore styles. Sizing for women is not as inclusive as other brands I’ve shared but they seem to be working on it 🙂

Is Lacemade legit?

Yes, from my experience they is a legitimate company. I have bought from them several times and have always received my items without any issues! Customer service has not always been the best (or worst for that matter) but I do like the items.

Lacemade Sizing: Is Lacemade true to size?

Does Lacemade official run true to size? In short, no. Sizing issues are what usually keep me from purchasing from new brands. However, once you get the hand of it, it’s not so bad! In my experience, they run true to their size chart. I highly recommend comparing your measurements with the provided measurements for each item to ensure the best fit. If in doubt, go one size up. I am normally a size small and I go up to a medium in almost all Lacemade clothing items.

Also, I should mention that some of the dress designs seem like they are only for smaller bust cup sizes. I am a B cup and some of the mediums were on the verge of being too small. If you are larger busted and love the princess/cottagecore style, you’ll love this brand and this brand.

Is Lacemade Good Quality?

In my opinion, the quality is amazing for the price! At first, I was wary of how the garments would look and feel (as I am with any new brand) but I was pleasantly surprised! The materials are really lovely and there aren’t any loose threads or flaws that I’ve seen from any of my pieces (and I have a lot). Everything has been decent quality and looks exactly the same as what is pictured on the website!

Lacemade Dresses Review

My collection of Lacemade dresses is always growing! I really love the unique and feminine designs. These pieces will definitely not be found anywhere else! I have dresses ranging from borderline renaissance dress costumes and princess dresses to cottagecore dresses and knit dresses. Size-wise, I went with a size medium in all and they fit perfectly. I have not had any issues with quality either.

Aside from dresses, I have several Lacemade corsets, knit tops and skirts as well. They all fit true to the size chart and are dreamy as ever. I always get compliments! Check out my spring Lacemade dresses video below to see them in action and to see even more of my feminine dress collection!

Lacemade Winter Coat Reviews

Like beautiful dresses, I also love stunning outerwear. I got a few Lacemade puffer coats and winter coats this past year and I love them all! I actually stayed with my normal size small and they all fit beautifully. However, I prefer a more fitted look for my outerwear. For a more relaxed fit (or a fit that mimics that of the models on the website), I recommend going up a size or getting your “normal” Lace made size.

How long does Lacemade shipping take?

Honestly, this depends on where you live and what item(s) you get. I live in the US and the normal shipping time is about 10 days for in stock items. If you get a pre-order item, it may take longer. If you get both, they may be shipped in separate packages. I’ve had it both ways – where  I received in stock items and pre-order items separately AND where I’ve received all items once the pre-order items come in. When you order, definitely give it a few weeks either way (just to be safe and to account for any mail descrepencies).

Lacemade Returns and Exchanges

If you look online at other Lacemade reviews (or Lacemade reddit reviews), this is where most opinions differ. Personally, I have not had any issues with returns or exchanges. Since I compare my measurements with their size chart, most items have been spot on. Therefore, there’s been no need to return.

I did do an exchange once for a dress that was WAY too small in the arms (I have larger arms). I was going to return for a refund but instead chose a different dress. The difference was a few dollars so I paid the extra few dollars and sent back the dress. I don’t recall paying for shipping so I believe it was covered by the brand since I was exchanging for a different item. I do not know if you’d have to pay for a return but I would assume so as this seems to be the norm with most brands nowadays.

Is Lacemade fast fashion?

Honestly, it doesn’t seem like Lacemade is fast fashion. The quality is really nice and they don’t have daily drops like true fast fashion websites. The collections seem to be more seasonal with a normal amount of pieces being dropped (rather than hundreds at a time). However, I haven’t done much research into this. I am only sharing my opinion given the knowledge I have about the industry as a whole.

Is Lacemade Worth It?

Overall, I’ve had a wonderful experience with Lacemade! I love the clothing, quality, and unique designs. In the future, I do hope they add a more vast size range along with designs for larger busts. But even then, I would still recommend them if you are looking for super cute and girly outfits! 🙂
