The JessaKae Thumbelina Dress is a delightful confection of frills and sugary sweetness. The light pink color could not be more perfect! It’s just so pretty and it truly looks amazing on all skin tones. Of course, I love a good puff sleeve and sweetheart neckline but the layers upon layers of tulle are what sold me on this dress in particular. I also love the unique v-shaped layers and contrasting dark pink lace.
When you think about it, there’s a lot going on. It seems like it shouldn’t work yet somehow, it comes together in such a beautiful way. If there was ever a modern day princess dress, it’s certainly this one. It’s very Marie Antionette with lots of intricate details and girly goodness! So perfect for all of my fellow maximalist fashionistas out there too!
For this outfit, I decided to pair it with some silver accessories. I’ve always been more of a gold person but there is just something so feminine and romantic about a light pink and silver color palette! Firstly, I added my sparkly heels and a pretty pink embellished handbag. Of course, I included my favorite pink pearl headband. For jewelry, I opted for some pretty silver pieces including a rhinestone bow necklace and matching bracelet reminiscent of an Old Hollywood starlet along with a sparkling princess ring.
Sizing-wise, I’m normally a size US 2/4. I went down a size to the XS and it fits perfectly! The length was also something that I was concerned about initially because JessaKae dresses can run a bit long. However, the length is perfect on me. I’m 4’11’ for reference and literally, everything is long on me haha. This is very petite friendly, which I love!
I honestly wasn’t prepared for how much I would love this dress. Sure, online it looks super pretty but in person, it’s just incredible! They just came out with a purple version for the holidays and I’m dying to add it to my JessaKae dress collection. I hope that they make the Thumbelina dress in even more pastel shades in the future because I would totally get all of them!
What do you think of the JessaKae Thumbelina Dress? Where would you wear it?
I’m already dreaming up many future events just for an excuse to wear this beauty hehe!
