Hello darlings!
We are half way through the week which means…Friday is almost here! I’m attending a wedding this weekend and I’ve been waiting to debut this gorgeous dress. Speaking of gorgeous pieces, I just got some new items from Review Australia’s April collection and I’m in love. Read on to see how to style a cape for spring!

A FLORAL CAPE FOR SPRING
Most of you already know about my coat obsession so it might come as a surprise to know that this is my very first floral cape! Can you believe it? I attempted to make one a few years ago but since I was sewing everything by hand, it took forever and I just never got around to finishing. Since then, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect one and I have finally found it! I love the rich wine color, removable faux fur collar and intricate embroidered floral details. This floral cape is just…perfect. Our weather has been insane lately ranging from cold and rainy last week to almost 100 degrees yesterday (seriously!) but luckily it’s supposed to cool down again, giving me ample opportunity to sport this beauty 😉
I did have a few reservations with getting a floral cape since the shape is so different from a traditional coat. I wasn’t sure exactly how I would style it and I thought it might be too overwhelming for my frame. Since it’s so voluminous on top, it makes sense to have a fitted bottom like jeans or a pencil skirt. Instead, I decided to take a risk with this a-line skirt and surprisingly, loved the way it turned out! This cute collared sweater is also a Review pick and I am just obsessed! It’s whimsical, feminine and classy all at the same time. Andddd how adorable are these pink sunnies?
So in my last post, I shared my travel bucket list with you all. My husband and I are heading to Hawaii in month and I couldn’t be more excited! I cut out bread a month ago (for health reasons) and I am already feeling so much better! Now I just need to find some time to go to the gym haha! As for hotels, we are currently deciding between the Royal Hawaiian and Turtle Bay for the Oahu portion of the trip so if you’ve stayed at either, I’d love your input!
How would you style a floral cape?
