I cannot believe that we are nearing the end of a decade. It has been such a journey… but I’ll share more about that next week 😉 Today I’m in full celebration mode so I wanted to share two feminine and glamorous New Years Eve outfit ideas with you! I was very inspired by the elegance and glamour of the 1920s but wanted to style each in a way that was still modern and stylish. I hope you love them! <3
Glamorous New Years Eve Outfit Ideas
Eliza J Dress c/o | Eliza J Faux Fur Capelet (currently on sale!) | Vintage 1920s Handbag (similar – modern, vintage) | LC Lauren Conrad Heels (old – similar here) | J.Crew Headband (old – similar here) | Kate Spade Watch (old – exact here) | Angara Ring
It wouldn’t be a Lizzie New Years Eve outfit without an abundance of pink, right? Haha! I went full on metallic with this outfit incorporating rose gold sequins and silver mesh combined to create the most perfect glitzy ensemble. This dress alone is fit for a princess – it’s honestly the most gorgeous thing ever! Isn’t the skirt just magical? After we shot these, I wore it for the rest of the evening… Netflixing in style and twirling about the apartment exclaiming how I never wanted to take it off haha! I added even more sparkle with an embellished headband, stunning jeweled watch and the most gorgeous ring (also seen in this post). I added a simple rose gold sandal and a pink faux fur capelet to offset all sparkle and add in some additional texture. To add an authentic roaring 20s element to my style, I incorporated a vintage 1920s Art Deco style mesh handbag given to me by my mom. Can you believe it’s nearly 100 years old?!
Eliza J Dress c/o (similar here, also available in hot pink) | Show Me Your Mumu Coat (old – similar here and here) | Mary Frances Handbag c/o | LC Lauren Conrad Heels (old – similar here) | BaubleBar Headband | Kate Spade Watch (old – exact here) | Angara Ring
For this outfit, I wanted to create a more elegant and refined look so I opted for a neutral color palette and interesting textures. This beautiful floor length blush dress is a bit more form-fitting, sleek and sophisticated. It has a short train and a large bow detail on the shoulder. To play off the silky texture of the dress, I added a shaggy faux fur cream jacket (my absolute favorite as you can tell from this post!). I added a dash of sparkle with this lovely jeweled watch and embellished rose handbag. I also added a lovely princess ring and pearl headband to finish off the look. While I don’t have any vintage details in this outfit, the slight mermaid shape is very reminiscent of the era.
Which of these glamorous New Years Eve Outfit ideas is your favorite?
And what are your plans for the New Year? I think we’re going to stay in this year for a dressy New Years dinner 🙂
