Navy Floral Maxi Dress Outfit

My heart has been yearning for a road trip of sorts. I love traveling, seeing new things and meeting new people. I love going to the beach, the desert, the mountain, anywhere…and I’d like to get some of those things on my bucket list checked off. Sometimes we get too busy and let life pass us by, but what we don’t understand is that we don’t get that time back. Before you know it, you start a family and the things you once dreamed of doing are now just that…a dream: distant and unattainable for the time being. I refuse to be the person that waited for the right moment to do something or until I had saved enough extra money for that trip (aside from saving up for a home or emergency fund). I think it’s time to just dive in, explore the world and not worry about finances or time away from work. Whatever happened to just being happy and really living life to the fullest? Recently, I feel that I have been consumed more by my responsibilities than by the desires of my heart, but I’m hoping for a change…or at least a compromise. Hopefully, this summer will bring some fun adventures. We shall see!

Onto my Navy Floral Maxi Dress Outfit: There is just something about a maxi dress that makes me feel regal and statuesque. I am under 5 ft tall and love the way they make me look taller. This dress is so flowy with it’s chiffon material, flutter sleeves and slit up the side. I would be lying if I said the sleeves weren’t the selling point for me. And that print… a gorgeous vintage floral pattern in a deep blue with pops of pink. This dress is definitely a showstopper so accessories were minimal: a long, delicate pendant necklace, a simple gold bangle, a dainty ring.. plus strappy wedges and a gold belt for good measure. I did not want to take it off. I felt like the queen of the castle. <3
