Flowy Florals

Happy first day of Spring!!!

This year is seriously flying by! I know that in many parts of the country it’s still “Winter,” but it’s very much Springtime here (we got up to 90 degrees last week – ugh!) and I’m celebrating with this flowy floral dress! Yay!

Outfit Details:

Dress: Free People (sold out) | Shoes: Free People (old) | Bag: Free People (old – similar here and here) | ChokerCuffRing | Midi Rings: Anthropologie (old)

Spring is my absolute favorite season EVER (Fall is a close second). Currently, the hills around my city are SO green and filled with wildflowers of yellow and orange. The trees are full of purple and white blooms and the birds are chirping as the sun rises. If I were personified as a season, it would definitely be Springtime and I feel that it very much reflects in my style for any season. It’s definitely a love-hate relationship though. Although, I love the sunshine and flowers, my allergies are not favorable around this time. In fact, I spent this weekend (that, of course, had the most amazing weather) cooped up inside my apartment sleeping, coughing, sneezing and staring longingly outside my window at the this beautiful outdoor world that I couldn’t be apart of. Oh, the irony!

Since I can’t go out and actually witness these beautiful flowers blooming all around me, I opted to wear them instead. 🙂 I have many floral dresses (probably too many in fact ha!) and this one is just so so so pretty! The purple color absolutely gorgeous and the fit is to die for. The sleeves are probably my favorite part! I recently wore it for a party that served Mexican food and it was a miracle that I didn’t drench the sleeves in salsa. I have to say, everyone was pretty impressed 🙂

Last week, I made it through the longest and most stressful week of my life. SO exhausting! I worked about 80 hours between both jobs and trying to keep up with the blog (I can’t believe I used to do this on a normal basis) and I broke out in a “stress rash” :-(. So if I lagged on a few things, this is why and I sincerely apologize! However, I was asked to work again this week and being that I can’t ever say no, I obliged…so this will actually be my last week subbing before I jump fully into blogging (false alarm lol!). I am so ready. And so excited. And so many other things! 😀 But for now, I just need to take it one day at a time to get through another long week. Wish me luck!

So I’d to know..

What is the weather currently like where you live? And what is your favorite season?

Have a great start to your week!

Even though Fall is right around the corner, Summer is still in full swing in California. Where I live, it’s still 100 degrees and I don’t see it cooling down anytime soon. So while some of you are already transitioning to Fall and enjoying the cooler weather, I’m still wearing sundresses, sandals and floral prints galore!

I have been loving flowy fabrics for the Summer in any form: dresses, skirts, tops, etc. To take them from Summer to Fall, just add an extra layer such as this pretty, floral kimono. For flowy dresses and skirts, I like to add little hints of boho to go along with the care free attitude of the garment. These lace up sandals have been a favorite of mine this Summer and will transition really well into the Fall when I pair them with long sleeve peasant dresses and maxi skirts. A crystal pendant and gold, floral headchain add that extra touch of boho and a hint of whimsy. 🙂
