Flower Knows Makeup Review: Is It Legit? (Midsummer Fairy Tales)

Girly girls, rejoice! I’ve found your new favorite makeup brand 😉

Perhaps you’ve seen this viral TikTok brand pop up in your “for you” feed… or maybe you saw a post trending on Instagram… or maybe you even saw an ad up on Facebook. Viral brands are a dime a dozen these days, however, Flower Knows has stuck around and become a favorite of many worldwide.

Personally, I’ve had my eye on them for a few years. They seemingly came out of nowhere and being that the makeup was unique, feminine and PINK, I became smitten immediately. However, it’s taken me awhile to actually try out the makeup. When the Midsummer Fairy Tales collection came out, I knew I had to clear out some space to add it into my makeup collection. And I’m so glad I did because this Flower Knows box set has everything you need!

What is Flower Knows Makeup?

FlowerKnows is a makeup brand that specializes in ultra feminine and romantic makeup. Makeup collections are inspired by fairytales and artwork. They are known for their unique aesthetic and delicate details. Each makeup collection from the Flower Knows makeup brand is thoughtfully designed with beautiful packaging, incredible products and dreamy color stories.

Is Flower Knows Legit?

Is Flower Knows safe? Yes, Flower Knows is a legitimate company! So far, I’ve had an amazing experience with them and I love this makeup collection so much that I decided to try other products as well (coming soon).

How long does Flower Knows take to ship?

This is a tough question because it really is dependent on where you live. Flower Knows is based in China so this should give you an idea where they are shipping from. I am in the US and shipping took about 1-2 weeks. I would give them 2 weeks just to be safe but I’ve found shipping to be pretty quick overall.

Also, just a note – some of the makeup sets may ship in separate packages. This box set shipped altogether but sometimes the box will be shipped separately from the makeup. If you order fragrance (and are based in a country that can receive it), this will be shipped separately too.

Everything was packed super well to ensure a damage-free set! In fact, it was packed so well, I had to really work to get it out of the parcel haha (a very good thing though!).

Is Flower Knows Good Quality?

I have to say, I am VERY impressed with the quality of this makeup. I wasn’t sure what to think initially having just seen it through photos and videos but in person, it’s even more beautiful (if that’s possible). The quality of the packaging and product is top tier. Super happy with this!

Flower Knows Makeup Cleansing Balm

This was the biggest surprise of the entire box! When I did the lipstick swatches, the color stayed on when I tried to wash with soap and water so I used this instead. This makeup cleansing balm took off the color is SECONDS! Plus it smells like lemons and has the most glorious texture. The little silver spoon is a sweet touch too!

Flower Knows Highlighter

This was another pleasant surprise! The color ranges are stunning but the two colors on the left are so lovely. These highlighters are iridescent and I can honestly say that I’ve never used another highlighter like this before. They are just dreamy! The formula is unique and I really love that there is a variety of colors. I think these would look amazing on all skin tones as well!

Flower Knows Lipstick

I’m lipstick girl through and through and let me tell you, these lipsticks are some of the juiciest and most beautiful glosses I have ever laid eyes on! Not only is the packaging stunning (like everything else) but the color range is everything. All swatches above are just from one swipe so you can see how pigmented it is for a sheer gloss. The pinks and reds are definitely a better fit for my skin tone but I appreciate that there are some warmer shades as well. It’s a well-rounded set, in my opinion.

Flower Knows Eyeshadow

Firstly, the little fairies are just adorable! Love the pastel shades for the packaging – it’s super cute and perfect for showing off on a vanity. The color choices included in these palettes are also very well-rounded. You’ve got one palette with neutrals that works for everyday, a second with pinks (perfect for my girly girls!) and a third with more unique and playful colors. There’s really something for everyone.

Flower Knows Blush

The packaging is soooo cute – probably my favorite from the collection as there is an abundance of pastel hues! The actual blush shades are also very pretty. There’s warm and cool shades along with a bold, bright magenta and sheer barely there pale pink. I can see these being super flattering on a variety of skin tones as well! The embossing is also a very unique and beautiful touch that makes Flower Knows stand out from other brands. This gift set also includes two lovely blush brushes, mini powder puffs and finger cushion powder puffs (pictured above).

Flower Knows Palette for Brows

I’ll be honest – I’m pretty minimal when it comes to my brows. I usually swipe on a tinted brow gel and call it a day haha! However, these palettes are very exciting and unique. The butterfly embossing is adorable along with the packaging but what really makes this product stand out is the sheer amount of brow colors. There are SO many – far more than I’ve seen from any other brand, which in itself is highly impressive.

Flower Knows Fragrance

Flower Knows perfumes are so different than anything I’ve ever smelled (and this is coming from someone with a massive perfume collection lol!). The fragrances are quite affordable compared to other brands, which is always a plus. I also LOVE the bottle – it might be my fave from them! The design is vintage-inspired with pink metal details, bows, hearts and of course, butterflies. I love also the crystal look of it as well. Super pretty!

Midsummer Fantasy Fragrance Notes (white):

• Top: Yuzu, Grapefruit, Mandarin, Pink Peppercorn
• Middle: Watery, Nutmeg
• Base: Ambergris, Musk, Vetiver

Midsummer Fantasy reminds me of summer in Italy! It’s extremely fruity and opens with a bold dash of grapefruit that melts down into a dreamy fruity musk. It’s light and airy yet bold and fresh, a unique combination. This fun fragrance would be ideal for daytime and summer.

Butterfly Narcissus Fragrance Notes (pink):

• Top: Freesia, Apple, Almond, Bergamot
• Middle: Greenery, Rose, Peach, Apricot
• Base: Musk

Butterfly Narcissus is an absolute dream!! It opens with juicy apple and melts down into a deep rose with hints of peach and apricot. Although it’s also light and fruity like the other, it’s more sultry and romantic. This feminine fragrance would be perfect for day, evening, spring and summer. Although I love both, this is my favorite of the two!

Flower Knows Hand Mirror & Hair Brush

One thing that makes Flower Knows stand out from other brands is the Flower Knows brush and Flower Knows mirror options. I’ve been collecting vintage pieces for many years and my biggest collection is that of antique vanity sets. The brush and mirrors from Flower Knows Cosmetics remind me of that and honestly, it makes my heart so happy! What a thoughtful addition to already gorgeous makeup collection. Three hand mirrors and one hair brush are included.

Flower Knows Makeup Box

The Flower Knows box from the Midsummer Fairytales All-In Gift Set is the item that people seem to be most intrigued by. This is another unique detail about the brand. I love how they give their collections somewhere to exist – plus the box itself is just so pretty. I was actually very surprised by how well-made it is! It’s made of high quality thick plastic with a velvet interior (see the video below for a closer look). Adorning the box is a variety of bows, baroque-inspired details, and a quilted pearl embellished interior. Surely, the box is pretty enough on it’s own but this is a special item that you can only get with the Midsummer Fairy Tales collection.
