Summer is in full swing and while the weather is crazy hot (114 this week!), I am thoroughly enjoying my summer wardrobe 😉 I tend to wear more dresses than anything else but lately, I’ve been really into skirts. I love that they can be mixed and matched with so many different things! Plus they still have that feminine allure that I love. Read on for more details on this adorable floral skirt outfit along with a peek at my latest Chicwish summer haul!

This outfit is a pretty pastel dream! The skirt alone makes such a statement with the bright pink florals and embroidered eyelet details. It gives me a slight vintage vibe so I decided to run with it 😉 I thought the creamy light yellow of the skirt would look really nice with the light blue. It’s such an unexpected combo but I think it works beautifully! Of course it would also look lovely with a top in white, cream, lilac, and various shades of pink. Personally I think the trick to looking effortless when mixing colors is to stay within the same hue. This includes pastels, brights, jewel tones, etc.
To finish off the look, I paired it with a pink vintage handbag and white square toe heels! This adorable handbag was actually a birthday gift from my mom. The pink could not have been a more perfect match! Since it’s vintage (I believe 50s or 60s), I thought the style would look incredible with this combo as well. And I think the shoes provide the perfect finishing touch! They are neutral so they don’t distract from the colors of the outfit. I also love that they also modernize it with the trendy square toe and interesting heel design!
