One of the biggest trends for fall is feathers and I’m loving every second of it! I’ve seen feathers adorn dresses, blazers, handbags and even shoes. Today I’m styling one of my favorite trendy items – a feather bag! Read on for outfit details surrounding this dreamy and feminine look and tips on how to style it yourself!

I’ve been a lover of feather embellished anything for years so this is one trend that I can get behind. I love that there’s finally an abundance of feather items available and this feather bag has to be at the top of my list. When I saw it, I knew that it deserved a place in my wardrobe! In fact, this feather bag inspired this entire outfit.
I knew that I wanted to play off the neutral tone to create a romantic monochrome outfit. Usually I like to add some element of color into my looks but when it comes to monochrome, especially in neutral colors, I like breaking up the color palette with interesting textures. How I Styled a Feather Handbag
To set the foundation for this feminine outfit, I added a cream top and tulle skirt. The top has the most gorgeous floral appliqué along the chest and the skirt actually has tiny rhinestone embellishments for a hint of sparkle!
I just happened to have a feather belt in the same light tan color (it’s probably over a decade old but what are the odds that it’s a perfect match). Typically I wouldn’t add two textures that are so similar but a.) you only live once haha and b.) I think the simplicity of the top and skirt make it work!
As for my accessories, I added a stunning pair of tan kitten heels. I never thought of myself as a kitten heel type of person but they’re so comfortable and elegant so what’s not to love? Plus I feel like as I get older, my heel height declines haha! To finish off my look, I added my favorite pearl headband and a dainty heart necklace.
I feel like this is such a pretty feminine fall outfit! While my style is slightly more experimental, I think that as a whole, it can be styled to reflect so many different personal styles. This feather bag is really the star of the show and would look amazing styled with everything from casual daytime looks to an evening out.
