I always love the beginning of a new season – it’s like a fresh start of sorts. New season, new wardrobe, new me haha! No but really 😉 Spring is my favorite season overall, but fall is my favorite to dress for. I just love creating interesting outfits with various layers. It allows me to be more creative while also being practical, which brings me to… these pretty pieces from Elie Tahari!
If you’re an avid reader, you might remember the many, MANY years that I voluntarily did not wear black. I’ll admit, I’m much more of a light color/pastel wearing type of gal but over the years, I’ve started including more black into my wardrobe… and I’ve actually grown to like it *gasp!* Who even am I?!
Maybe it’s the fact that I’m getting older and investing in better quality pieces. But personally, I’d like to thank the Academia trend for this and now the quiet luxury trend. I can certainly see the appeal of black. It’s elegant, luxe and timeless – always in style and incredibly chic. And don’t you worry, my dear gorgeous friends, I won’t be replacing my entire wardrobe with black… but I will certainly be taking advantage of it’s versatility this fall.
Speaking of which, one of the most versatile items one can own is a blazer. I used to be anti-blazer but now I loveee them and have shared many blazer outfits on here! This black Elie Tahari jacket is SO incredibly sophisticated with a classic design, immaculate cut and high quality fabric. It looks amazing with everything from dresses to jeans!
In this instance, I styled it with a black silk Elie Tahari cami and a metallic silver Elie Tahari skirt – both of which are equally versatile. For accessories, I included a white bow belt to give a feminine shape, a black bow headband and heels, and a light pink handbag. The overall look makes for a very feminine (and slightly Parisian) work wear outfit, don’t you think?
